EVERYONE on special teams not named Rory Walling.

Any corner opposite Anthony Johnson. Young looked decent near the LOS but got burnt several times deep. Tayvonn Kyle had an average year, in my opinion.

Young has legit ability but seems like the type who needs work on staying within himself on both the physical and emotional side. If he can do that he might turn into someone who virtually controls the whole field.

Young had such a good freshman year b4 he got hurt. He hasn't developed as much as i thought he would've. Still time to.take jump forward next season

My opinion if this team wants to take another step forward...
1. Simmons/Schweiger.---Really the entire OL has to keep improving, but will single out these two since Foster looked so much better this season. Let's become dominant in the run game and solid pass protection.
2. CB#2, whoever that is.---Typically has been Datrone and he gets picked on. Reduce some of those big pass plays.
3. Kicker, whoever that is.---Improve KO coverage, long FG's, etc, we have to do better.
4. Scates.---He usually got 1-2 targets a game as our "deep threat" and more times than not was unable to make a contested catch. As I've mentioned in other threads, part of that is also on Purdy not having great arm strength, but Scates typically has a chance to make a catch. We need him to be stronger and attack those opportunities.
5. Purdy---When Brock is at his best, we are tough to stop. He needs to be more consistent, primarily in decision-making. We have to accept the fact he will always have a gunslinger attitude, but be a bit smarter when to throw it away, when to throw into coverage, when to just take a sack, and when to use his legs. If he can make 5-10 positive runs a game, either by design or scrambles, this offense will be so multi-dimensional. Would also love if he can improve a bit more arm strength.

HM. 3rd TE---Whether that is Rus, Dean, Hannika, etc. We need a good replacement for everything Soehner did in this offense. Those TEs are a huge reason why our rushing game has improved. Kolar and Allen returning is a great start, let's keep that position an area of strength.

We gotta have someone step up to be a ligament deep ball threat who can win 50/50 balls.
I agree a deep threat is needed. To me it seems like Scates (deep ball) and Shaw (fade-stop type plays) are the most likely candidates, ahead of Jackson and Porter.

I will add one more to my list, similar to finding a kicker who can help "win in the margins", we need someone who can replace Kene's production in the kick return game.
AND
If we can ever commit to actually returning punts! Gain 5-10yds on those, maybe more, that can put a ton of stress on the opponent. Of course there are rare occasions where a fumble happens or a block in the back can set you back. It's risk-reward, I would love to see us get good enough to handle punts!

Enyi is really good, but I would like to see him move inside and become one of those guys in college football that seems impossible to block.

McDonald needs to add at least 15 pounds of muscle to be an every down end instead of a pass rushing specialist. Enyi was getting more interior snaps toward the end of the season. He could have an NFL future if he can put up some big numbers next fall.

Absolutely agree about McDonald. If he got up to around 250lbs, he's probably a 2nd round pick.
