@Cyclonepride not sure what was funny about that? They did not look like a team that is going to be competing for an NCAA birth. They played one of the worst teams in D1 and struggled with them.

Judging the team from the very first game, in this of all years, is peak silliness.

Yes, they'll have to improve/gel/etc fairly quickly, but I like the overall talent on this team, a lot.

Must have skipped reading my caveat. But I was actually underwhelmed with the talent outside of a couple of the young guys.

I thought it was pretty easy to see this team is improved from last. Tourney team, no, not yet -- but they look more competitive and diverse in skillset already. I can't say I expected much for the first game breaking in 7 new scholly players, that first half was hard to watch -- but the second was infinitely better. That team showing up long term will compete in many games and win some of them... if it's here to stay.

If your caveat is the NCAA tournament, in a year with basically 4 returning players, then you're setting them up to fail. An NCAA tournament would be awesome, and it could happen, but it would take a lot of things falling into place just right.

I wanted to see a serious infusion of talent, and I think I saw that today.

No I said If this one game is any indication. I like what they have in terms of young guys and their potential but just don’t see much in terms is this years team. But like I said if this one game is any indication. It’s going to take some building to get them back to be a consistent tournament team.

I cheer for the team, support the players and want everyone to succeed. You take the opposite approach. I don't know if you're a terrible person, but you're sure not much of a fan.

And you're a misogynist.... so there's that. You probably don't support the WBB then, huh?

See I can play this name calling game too if you want to go down that road?

Looks like after today's performance KenPom downgraded our game projections by 2 points; We were a 6 point favorite vs SDSU Wednesday now down to 4.

I think every cyclone fan supports every sport regardless of sport. Misogynistic... what’s a good word for gender baiting?

Very encouraged by how Dubar looked. Kid is jacked for a freshman. You can see that Walker and Blackwell both have the potential to be very good, as well. Love the length of those 3 & the flexibility they give you.

Harris is quick & shot well from 3. I thought JCL was fine, but was hoping for a little more from him. I was not at all impressed with Johnson. Also, I was hoping to see marked improvement from Conditt, but didn’t. Foster has potential, but he looked like a freshman, albeit a tall freshman. He may develop but it’s going to take time.

The Big 12 is really tough this year & it’s going to take this team a while to figure it out. It’s early but I’m guessing we are an NIT bubble team this year. The future sure looks great though!
