Just a piss poor job by our coaching staff to close out the half.

On one hand we are fortunate to be down 3 after the abysmal start. On the other we likely gave up 7 + on penalties and 3+ due to clock management to close the half. Can't miss those kinds of opportunities on the road.

its negligent that this has been our kicking situation for 3 years. i am sure he tries hard and is a good teammate and yada,yada... but there are a dozen high schools in the state with better kickers.

Not out best half but that is WAY cool. We've given Texas every opportunity to blow this open but we're right in the game and if we clean up a few things (looking at YOU OL and special teams) we'll be in a great position...

Should have hit them with a slant and then let the receiver miss some guys , intead of throwing it into double coverage. Purdy still thinks we have Hakeem and Lazard.

It's almost like we are calling plays thinking he will make that.......I want touchdowns. ON that particular third down, why does Purdy even bother with the play action? just wierd stuff.

Burning both your remaining timeouts limited our options. But you still gotta make that.

I think one good shot at the end zone and then a sideline route might've been a good balance. But if one of the end zone shots land, then of course I'd second-guess that tactic. Also risk not getting out of bounds on an out-route, but I forgot we still had a timeout left.

I'm thinking coaches needed to focus on getting more yards, if Assalley is THAT bad beyond 35 yards, you HAVE to be closer before you start taking shots at the endzone.

That's why burning that last time out was so huge. If we have the whole field we can get another 10 yards and call time out.
