It also has the recipe in Cups, tsp etc
- 2 3/4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup of warm Water (make sure you are NOT using hot water)
- 1/2 cup of Warm Milk (make sure you are NOT using hot milk)
- 1 3/4 tsp Dry Yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
Yep, saw that, too. I'm trying to do a bit more with the scale. It's really kind of fun. I can choose from a variety of units for measuring and by using the tare function, I can add more than one ingredient in the same bowl.

I knew a guy who said whatsits are doohickeys, thingamabobs are gizmos and he said whatchamacallits sounds like a candy bar. I told him that I could tell he went to a school without an enginerding department and he tried telling me they did have one. I laughed and asked him to go find me a wood welder. Haven't seen him since.
He was right. I remember them. https://www.hersheys.com/en_us/our-brands/whatchamacallit.html

That was from memory. Came out when I was in junior high, but still watched it a lot on VHS.

Not exactly sure.
Wife's nephew just got out of quarantine. Wife's mom was telling us that his second roommate (the other one is his relative) brought it back from the bar. We decided it was best to not mention that it is most likely from the party they threw at their apartment and not from the roommate. I don't think his parents know either. His mom has shut down several functions for the school/church/family that could have been held outside with social distancing and masks and been very low risk, due to her health condition. It wouldn't be a deal, but going to her daughters graduation reception and watching her hug nearly everyone there, get into the middle of large groups of people at wedding receptions with no PPEs and going out partying with many people; it reveals a large amount of hypocrisy on her part. The quarantined son went to AZ and stayed with his aunt (while his grandma was also out there) with a couple buddies for spring break and then the mom made him quarantine at his 78 year old grandmas when he got back but it turned out he was out partying about every night. Why we don't have much to do with that group. Major do as we say, don't do as we do people.

Aunt lives in middle-of-nowhere Illinois. Her BIL and SIL (married couple) came over, along with another couple, two weekends ago. BIL had cold-like symptoms and still came over. Guess what? Both of them have Covid! So my aunt got tested, still waiting for results, but she isn't feeling so good. Not sure if uncle will, he's kinda stubborn.

Here's the kicker. SIL works at the local chapter of a large non-profit that deals with the public a lot, AND SHE'S STILL GOING TO WORK! (At least, as of last week) ARGH! I'd report her anonymously if I knew where she worked. Not sure if she works closer to my aunt, or closer to where I think they currently live. *sigh*

BIL and SIL???? Is that a pair of married siblings? That must be southern Illinois. Had a friend that worked in Mount Vernon, or something like that, and he said that is kinda how they were, so that is why I'm guessing southern Ill.

I tend to be on the more conservative side off it all as we have done quite a bit with no issues but this is the ******** that pisses me off. Hell even before all of this. If you are sick stay the F home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bah! WE remember when Mountain Dew came out. Whatchamacallits were like, yesterday!
Mountain Dew is a carbonated soft drink brand produced and owned by PepsiCo. The original formula was invented in 1940 by Tennessee beverage bottlers Barney and Ally Hartman. A revised formula was created by Bill Bridgforth in 1958. The rights to this formula were obtained by the Tip Corporation of Marion, Virginia.

And just to be clear, I am definitely of the "revised formula" age.

Aunt is my mom's sister. The married couple that's sick is my uncle's brother and his wife.

When did Pepsi buy Mountain Dew?
1964

The Mountain Dew brand and production rights were acquired by the Pepsi-Cola company in 1964, at which point distribution expanded more widely across the United States.
