I decided to try some counseling for some potential anxiety depression issues. I got really concerned when I found out the counseling clinic is right next to a funeral home.
Good on you for going, it can be super helpful.

Also, when I went in college they had me fill out an intake sheet where you could write down the problem and that was so much easier than trying to verbalize it the first time.

So it's sad that Wisconsin won't be playing football this year, but apparently they're doing a partnership with BTN where they are picking 12 amazing games, syncing the tv and radio, and then playing them on Youtube and over the radio. And they'll be including traditions like the fifth quarter.

Obviously I wish Wisconsin was playing but this will be a cool substitute. Especially because as a fairly recent fan I probably won't have experienced a ton of them

In Ottumwa, the hospital, hospice center, and one of the cemetery's were all within a block of each other.

Husband and I darkly called it one stop shopping.

What is the "fifth quarter" tradition?

The band goes onto the field and plays for about 15 minutes after the game before going outside the stadium and playing a bit more. I can't think of all of them right now, but they're the same one's each time and most of them have some kind of call/response or dance by the crowd (especially the students). It includes Varsity (our alma mater) at the beginning and end, "Space Badgers" (a take on the theme from 2001: a space odyssesy), the chicken dance, time warp (from rocky horror picture show), Tequila, the horse, and swing town.

I've attached the video from the last one from 2018 which was the final game for our longtime music director. You should in no way feel any obligation to watch any of it, but they have it on youtube so I might as well attach it.

edit: and of course the fight song

2nd edit: and our opponent's fight song. Often the opposing cheerleaders and band will participate

I have a gift card that I received as a rebate that has some real strange rules attached. It is for $60 but you can't swipe it for anything over $60 then pay the rest with another card.
If it is over $60 the card will be rejected so they recommend you swipe one card first for the difference and then you can swipe this card for the remaining $60.
I've never heard of this and don't recall ever having that option.
I have only seen where you swipe a card and then it comes back and tells you that you still owe the balance at which time you swipe another card.

I should just go to the grocery store and buy $60 worth of food and just swipe it and get it done with as it expires in October.
My work sent me one from Florida. For anything that might have a tip; the amount left on the card had to have 20 percent more on it to include the tip. Otherwise it was rejected.
I had to call the gift card folks to learn that. I told them that wasn't helpful to use the card.

Not a single post from/during the game. Hope my fellow RTTers are ok.....I was pretty bummed afterward, but I have learned to put it in perspective.

Good to see you back, CG!

SIL in Oregon just sent me a screenshot of the air quality reading for where they live: 434 on a scale of 0-500. They have been indoors all week.
