Pretty darn good day today a quick 10 mile bike ride with the cousin in the a.m., then a longer harder ride this afternoon, came home and had steaks, sweet corn and watermelon for supper.

Why does every NetFlix drama use a slow, brooding cover of a classic pop hit as its outro music...?

Watching Navy/BYU at Navy, and I heard some type of fanfare piped in after Navy got a 1st down.

Me: Ooo. Do you think they'll pipe in the first down fanfare at Jack Trice?
Husband: They just recorded the guy with the vuvuzuela.

:D

Daughter just informed me this weekend that she didn't care for the music I played for their softball games. I thought I did alright. Intro music is apparently harder than it looks.

I hope she is a pitcher.

My sweet Lord!! God only knows. I heard it through the grapevine, all along the watchtower, while sitting on the dock of the bay. Thinking out loud--I gotta feeling, more than a feeling--money.

My wife is watching TV upstairs while I work and diddle around on here.

I just got hit with an awful version of the Turtles' "So Happy Together."

Not exactly sure.
I hope she is a pitcher.

She was. Their main pitcher got hurt before the season and couldn't play and their second pitcher quit since they weren't winning enough for her. My daughter had pitched so she was informed shortly before the season that she needed to get things figured out (she would normally pitch one game a year and maybe a couple innings in another as an emergency pitcher) since she would do the most.

She actually wanted me to play that for her. This is what is I would have done but figured I would get tossed myself.

I...was...ruh-ning.

I've mentioned earlier but I fought a calf strain for like the last year and just this week went for a couple of 3 mileish runs. Started out just testing out the calf as it was still pretty tender but oddly the day after the run, it felt better than it's felt the entire time. Perhaps it just needed to be exercised in that way.

Went over to the MIL's yesterday and did a bunch of yardwork for her. Weeded mostly, cleaned out flowerbeds, raked, etc. Dad wasn't much for yardwork other than firing up the JD tractor to mow.

Got rewarded with kebabs on the grill, potato salad, fresh corn on the cob, and chocolate cake for dessert. (Yeah, I cheated. No more sweets this week for me!)

So do you do individual music for each batter?

Finally started crossing off things on my "I should really finish this project" list this weekend. It's much easier to take the time to do these tasks when you get to play with power tools.
