I am declaring myself officially immune. As a result I will be granted a key to all state park restrooms.
Oh man, this makes me furious.
Just talked with a friend that works at a major employer in Des Moines that had a town hall call this afternoon. Had an exec speak about their role on Reynold's Covid task force. Apparently said very bluntly they are disappointed as there has been zero requests for freedback from the task force members and only getting announcements sent to them. Basically said the major employers in DSM metro are interacting with each other in regards to move forward as a group since Governer's office has shown no interest in feedback.
goddammit. kcci's site is annoying as **** with how it changes the url if you scroll downYou’re upset a mailman gave a free donut gift card to HS seniors? Seems kinda nice, not sure why you are furious over that? Unless you work for krispu Kreme or something.
I bet it does. What doesn’t though?Oh man, this makes me furious.
Your grandma and grandpa can last a lot longer without food than I can. Impressive.
Well it makes me mad, and I'm pretty even tempered on this. The federal government has enough on its plate. It doesn't need to send the vp here to thump his bible. The church leaders know what's best for their people, not the vp.I bet it does. What doesn’t though?

Des Moines doing their own restrictions.
He's coming here to encourage church leaders to reopen.....
You missed Alarson putting a correct link to the article in response to your previous comment? Well here it is again. What am I missing? The article that is in her reply is about a mailman giving Dunkin donut gift cards.
My church put in measures before the closures even happened. Many Lutheran churches in my area are not opening right away, want things to slow down first. With older populations, churches have been doing things to combat flu situations for many years so several had measures put in place that was a light level of social distancing.Church groups in Iowa have already made public statement regarding the steps they will take to reopen when they have agreement from state officials. Has nothing to do with Pence.

Exactly. This is a campaign visit in the guise of a pandemic response. This visit with church leaders accomplishes nothing. Its literally what he's coming here to do, to push them to open anyway. Its entirely a play to the base.
COVID-19 is going to run through society. How do we keep it at a relative slow burn until a vaccine is approved, herd immunity reached? People are going to get sick and some are going to die. We can open most things up responsibly with some precautions like social distancing, wearing a face covering / mask, washing hands, increased testing and contact tracing. The biggest imposition on people's rights out of those would be how contact tracing is done / enacted. Is it with a cell phone app that tracks proximity / duration next to other phones and that list can be accessed when someone tests positive?
Gotcha. Thank you. I wonder if this is something that could be sort of a base platform to be an early configuration of a possible treatment/vaccine for not only this virus, but others in the same category we may face later?
