It's November. Our season isn't quite over yet.
Do you think this team is going better than 9-9 or 10-8 in conference? If not then this game was critical. Losing nine conference games on top of the 2 we have now gives us 11, which gives us very little wiggle room when we still have 2 more here, Auburn, Seton Hall, and Iowa. We're not making the tournament with 13 or 14 losses so the wiggle room we had is quickly dying after losing to Oregon State and Michigan

serious question - do you guys think we make the NCAA Tournament this year?

Right now I’m not confident we do.

I was in 50/50 camp but seeing the failure to develop any 3 point shooting I'm moving it down toward 20/80.

I think if some key players improve around Tyrese it could be a situation where we're a lot better than many at large bid teams by March but don't have the resume.

Exactly. Still figuring out things while playing P5 teams. People get so worked up about it, especially this early into the season. Wonder how many were watching ISU hoops when our best team ever lost to Drake.

I enjoyed the secret scrimmage freakout the most.

Oh so the argument that a league is good or bad should be made on only how our one team out of ten teams performs against one team out of 14 from their league? Makes sense.

No but ISU sure hasn't held up very well against the big slow boring teams from that conference.

Yes, because losing means we need to take 3 out of the four we have left against Seton Hall, Iowa, and our last 2 B4A games or go on a crazy run through conference to make the tournament and neither seem likely. Playing in the NIT is a failure of a season

Yeah. You’re not an emo ***** at all

No. There is enough games now to know the poor shooting is not just an anomaly.

With that said, if certain players step up (Grill), that could change.

Something to learn from the game for the team today. We all knew it would be tough.
We've obviously got to clean up some things.

Bolton is solid.. but it’s a shame Nixon will continue to gum up a legit lineup because transferring to ISU automatically makes you a starter at least until January

He is a stud. He's doing it all while having to do it all. There's barely anyone else creating offense consistently for this team.

Every possession needs to include Haliburton or Bolton attacking the lane. That's the only way this crew of bricklayers is going to be effective on offense.

This team plays their ass off, but they can't shoot at all.

Honestly, that's what's concerning me most with Nixon and Bolton so far. When they drive they put their head down. I've seen a couple kick out opportunities for open threes. Drive and kick, but those guys both seem to put their heads down. Well, could be a tough year.

I don't mind when Bolton does it. He can finish or draw a foul.
