What is it going to take to get a big time team to come to Hilton Pre conference?

Everyone else aren’t always complete morons like you

The dumbest part of this post is how the OP decided Seton Hall doesn’t count because it wasn’t scheduled by the AD.

All schedules came from the schools website. If a ranking is missing, it's because it wasn't on the schools website and I'm too lazy to look up that weeks ranking.

This is a bizarre post considering how tough Iowa and Iowa States non conference schedules are this season.
Iowa just played the #6 (in their conference) NAIA team in CHA. Doesn't get much tougher than that.

I've been saying for years I wish we would schedule some home and home matchups with our neighboring states major programs like Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, and Nebraska. Even just 1 of them and switch it out with another after 2 years. Not a far trip for our fans to make a road trip out of it and should be competitive games most years that help each other's non-conference strength of schedule.

I look at what Illinois and Mizzou have had for years with their "bragging rights" game which granted is always played at a neutral site in St. Louis but some new non-conference rivals other than Iowa would be entertaining to watch.

I understand your point but I don't think Minnesota or Illinois will play ISU. They don't want us to get any extra exposure in their states. Also, Missouri and Nebraska have been persona non grata since realignment. That may change but I doubt we'd play Nebraska with their new coach anytime soon.

Thanks for compiling. Iowa shouldn't get credit for DePaul as a "major," though. Nor should anyone.

We've had home and home series with both Minnesota and Mizzou before in recent years so it's not like it can't happen. I get the Nebraska angle though. I've always wanted a home and home with Illinois as their BB fans are passionate about their program like ours and until recently we had something in common with our FB teams being down at times and were more into the BB seasons. Just seems like a logical series to start but I get the recruiting aspect as we've probably had more success recruiting the Chicago area than Illinois lately and playing a road game in state may be more of a boost to us than they'd like.
