$20 thirty years ago and nothing? That's nuts.

I understand a $20 won't get much these days in Vegas but this is the first time $100 didn't get me squat. I refuse to go over that though and I even think it's kinda excessive. I always treat it as my first "gamble" of the trip and if it happens it happens. If not, oh well. I've never been handed back the cash though
Didn't bother me at all. He just wanted a closer seat for a better view of the hooters onstage. Served him right. :D

Worked the Clear Lake bike race this evening. It was a much closer race than last yr. The local guy won the state championship in only his 2nd yr. at the pro level.

Going to be a bad day at work tomorrow, but at least I know it going in. Hopefully I'll be able to finish in a a decent time anyway. We shall see.

Flew 132 kids yesterday at the YE rally at CID. Had an epic nap afterwards and a nice night around the fire with the family. LittleWx liked the idea of camping tuntil it came time to actually sleep. Just too much city noise for him to calm down...the neighbor setting off a firework at 10:30 didn't help either...so we just came home at 11. I think he will be fine in the future especially if both of us are there.

My youngest has a classmate who rides in that.

I've been up all night at work again. Earlier when I was walking around to stay awake I looked out the back window to the back parking and saw this. I have no idea who this person is. When he was done he packed up his batons in his case and just went walking away.
Pay no attention to all the window glare.

Sorry, saw he mentioned trying to camp at home, thought you meant where he camped then.

Now wondering if the 50 year old canvas popup tent of mine would still "pop up". Vintage! Not something you'd take camping or backpacking (heavy plus) but would still work for car camping.

Ha, found a picture on eBay of one:

Friend of mine from college is now a pastor. He flew this weekend from FL to OH to officiate the wedding of a good friend(s) of his. Was just doing a 24 hour turnaround so that he could be back at his church come Sunday morning. Flight delays, missed connection in CLT, yada yada. Anyway! He needed to get a car rental to drive the hour from Ft Lauderdale to Jupiter. The car they gave him?

A bright yellow Ford Mustang convertible.

Man, it's a hot one
Like seven inches from the midday sun
Well, I hear you whispering in the words, to melt everyone

Heat index is 99. Tired of waiting for it to hit the 100 mark so just going to go ahead and mow the lawn.
