Actually, that's another one of my complaints - if the North is independent, what right does the Six Kingdoms have to send people to the Wall - a wall that is no longer necessary, for the record.
They didn't really send Jon to the wall, they banished him north to pacify Greyworm and the Unsullied Army. It looked like the Wildling were the only ones still at the wall, and they all went further North. I'm guessing there will be no more nights watch.

What was the point of the two Black Brothers then leading him out?

I am liking it. I was old enough to know that it happened but didn't really know the implications at the time.

I used to fly air force recon out of Eielson AFB near Fairbanks. We flew against the soviets on the Kola and Kamchatka peninsulas (not on same missions) and when our flight came back (I wasn't flying that day) plane was ordered to the far ends of the base where hazardous material crews showed up to inspect the plane. We had potentially flown through the plume and they checked for radiation.

Nada...

It wasn’t awful, but not at all how I thought/wanted/wished it would end. I really wish the overall story was fleshes out more. Oh well....

Yeah that’s what happens when the author loses the story and can’t finish one book (let alone more) in 8 years...

Overall I liked it alright. Watched it at a pub in the islands with people from all over the world and most seemed to enjoy it. Generally it was the Wayne’s world “everybody is happy ending” other than a handful of characters.

Happy for Bronn!!
