People blaming the refs in every single ISU loss is ******* annoying.

Sorry. I mostly just feel kind of bad for Lard. He’s gotta be confused out there. He’s getting called differently than he did last year, and he has to adjust somehow.

I and others have received crap this year for suggesting PRohm has flaws. It is becoming clear to many of these flaws. I would genuinely like to hear from anyone that thinks Prohm is still a coach above criticism and that we should all question whether or not he is right for the job.

Lmao, you realize we beat those 3 teams right? This just another "woe is me" excuse on why this team and coaching staff are underperforming. Pathetic!

But hey, the good thing is your posts are much more positive after a loss.

I am not happy with this loss. But adjustments we’re made at halftime I feel on the defensive end. I saw flashes of the defense we played against Kansas at Hilton. Yeah TCU scored more in second half but they made big contested shots. I saw effort in the second half. This is college basketball, you don’t win every game you should. I loved Fred, but Fred didn’t win as many big12 road games and he couldn’t have recruited this squad. Don’t @ me.

We've lost four straight to TCU. Let that sink in. And don't give me this, "Oh they are a tournament team blah blah blah." They have been complete garbage the last few weeks aside from the two games against us. Baylor is very similar as they have struggled mightily lately, have no fear, Iowa State can still play worse than you can Bears. WVU is giving Baylor all they can handle in Waco with a minute left. Sorry it's just frustrating, and all we ever get are excuses. Sorry these are teams we should beat. A hiccup against one happens but no way you should get swept by Baylor and TCU this year.

The next perfect ISU team will be the first in the history of the program. Roster is still unbalanced but the pieces are there to keep building. This team will likely finish exactly where the real experts predicted and after missing the tourney last year and a guaranteed spot this year I'll continue to take the long game.

My criticism - I've never gotten the Babb love. He has stats across the board but I still expect him to be a leader which I don't see demonstrated on the floor. The young guys are too young to take the leadership mantle and the upperclassman - other than Babb - are still short-term fill-ins.

They didn’t sweat enough for you?

We didn’t give up. We lost a close game on the road while shooting very poorly on 3Ps and getting road treatment from the officials. Isolated to today, not a big deal.

The ball screen defense and offensive rebounds given up continue to be problems. Prohm needs to figure out how to teach these guys to do better in that regard.
As much basketball as these guys have played since they've been like 10 there's not a whole lot you should have to coach of the basics. They play like they don't know basketball. If they watch film, there's a lot to see. Obviously it doesn't help, nothing changes.

Babb getting 39 minutes is the real tragedy. How are we so reliant on this man? Let Haliburton bring it up the floor while Babb gets a breather. Prohm needs to look big picture and start changing things up even if it costs us a game or two.

So do you want Lard or Jacobsen guarding another team's stretch 4? Because that's the option if Conditt is getting regular time at the 5.

All I'm saying is Prohm chooses to play small ball, he doesn't have to. And it's also how he's chosen to build this team too. He loves playing 4 guards.

But then he complains after the Baylor game about how we basically lost because of Baylor's size killing us on the boards. That's on you Steve. You built this team.

Gotta love how Prohm chooses to play a small lineup all game long.... and then complains after we lose game after game that we're too small and that's why we can't rebound and defend.

Is Talley supposed to be the answer? Because Solo is out and throwing Conditt out there sure ain't.

It could be worse I guess... imagine if we didn’t have top tier talent. Currently Prohm needs that much talent to be 5th or 6th place. Say we only had middle of the pack talent... do we even win a game in the big12?

Hate it all you want, but name one coach in the big 12 who is hands down worse than Prohm? Probably too early to tell on Boynton at OSU, but even his team has played good games this year with extreme limitations. Every other coach is at least on par with Prohm but arguably better.

Or name one season where his ISU team exceeded expectations?

You read their boards? That speaks volumes about you.

Never understood how people can spend sssoooooo much time following a team they claim to hate. People find pleasure in all sorts of things - but wasting time pining away about a cross-state rival would seem to be far, far down the list.

He's never been above criticism, and is deserving of it.

It's been when posters act like he's the first coach to lose weird games at ISU or that a conference title is some sort of normal thing that's the problem.

But you're right, there are some trends that definitely deserve to be questioned.

I don't think he's above criticism. This is the type of road game ISU has played for years. The head scratcher is winning on the road and then losing games at home the way we have. Do you think 2 for 20 3 point shooting has anything to do with it today at least?

He built the team on the premise that Solomon Young would be available. That plan is scratched and it becomes a limited roster in that regard.
