Iowa State seems to struggle against physical teams. Kansas State at full strength, at home would be a momentous win for the rest of the season. I don't see it happening, but that is why they play the game.

Out best chance to win is two fold, and one thing has already taken place: today's loss. Chip meet shoulder.

Second thing is k state needs to win their midweek game. If they lose, they will also be playing chippy and will cancel out our chip

We are absolutely going to have to be ready for their guards to be up in our faces once we cross half court. They are going to hedge like crazy on our top of the key ball screens as well.

Two things we haven't dealt with really well recently.

Fingers crossed... We get those two things figured out and make them pay off of it... We win.

That and rebound...

I am surprised at the number of people that think we are a tired team. We hadn't played a game since last Monday night. After the OU game CSP said he was going to give the team the next couple of days off. If anything I think they might have been flat yesterday from having not had a game week. I hope that doesn't happen again next Saturday.

3 weeks ago people were trying to figure out how we could make the tourney. Today, we’re upset because we’re potentially playing for a share of 1st in Saturday instead of sole possession of 1st. This has been a very good season so far, and we are in great position to make it a memorable one.

This team still has a very high ceiling. We have all seen how well they can play. It may be that they have a lower floor than we would like. Hopefully this game was as bad as it gets and the whole team pulls together to finish strong. Prohm can't make shots for them and when you play a 4 guard lineup, someone has to make a few shots to prevent the defense from packing the lane.

Hoping this was our fluke game down the stretch - just a weird feeling game yesterday. I didn't see us winning at TT after the first KSU loss, so hopefully the guys are focused next Saturday.

More KU, TT, Ole Miss effort, less TCU pls

Today's game I don't want to talk about just move on from it...

Kansas State is going to be a tough matchup on Saturday, the boys better be ready or else it's going to be a long game.

Wade, Stokes, and Brown are there all by far best athletes on there team. Have to guard them tight. Kansas State has 1 loss at home this season (Texas)

My Prediction:
Iowa State 74
Kansas State 81

Hope I'm wrong

Playing the season out for a seed. Not going to beat that team on the road. The scout has caught up to our offense. Need to shoot well above our average to win because we aren't hard to defend.
I expect us to play well defensively, however.

Scored 84 points, so enough to win the game. Problem was the team's defense.

Agree re: a high ceiling, Lard/Wigg still getting their rhythm/consistency back. THT still learning when not to force, TH needs to learn to shoot 3-pt shots more often. Having Solo would really have helped though vs bigger/more physical teams.

But, if the past Prohm teams are any indication, they will hit their stride and be peaking by tourney time.

I think we lose this one for sure. Can see both a blow out where we don't defend anything or a close one where we let it slip away. Either way this team hasn't been good for a while now and I don't think playing the best team in the conference on the road will fix our problems

He had 24 today.

That's above his average.
7-17 from the floor and 1-7 from three on Saturday for Shayok. Definitely got his points, but it was by no means efficient. We're going to need him to be more efficient than 41% from the field if we want to win important games down the stretch.

We still are hard to defend
