Seems TCU shot really well today. TCU like Texas last week was in desperation mode, sitting as a 9 seed in the tourney.

Bottom line both coaches had a opportunity to improve their chances at a league title with a win at home and did not do it.
There is no difference. They both lost. Exact same scenario and both failed.

Lol, so you see no difference in losing to a 3 seed who made 14 3's that day and losing to a team that had just lost its last 3 road games by 10, 19, and 25? Its not even close to being an apples to apples comparison. Besides, thats the only loss that entire season, Prohm has shown time and time again he will lose multiple games in Hilton every season.

We could play the "I first feared we were toast when..." game. Mine was TCU's immediate run after halftime.

TCU's and one after ISU getting it to nine was a nice touch.

Also ISU getting it to 12 with maybe 13 minutes (?) left and TCU going down and drilling a 3.

Your hatred is strong tonight. Just say it. Say "I hate Prohm"

So many bashers and haters, but no one will say it.

I’ll admit that if you admit that you have a small, simple mind that isn’t capable of nuanced thought and that your homerism blinds you from critical thinking.

I like a lot about Prohm. I also dislike a lot about him, particularly his in-game ability. The jury’s out still. If he can grow and hold players accountable, he’ll be more on the plus side.

So we're going to blame a loss when the visiting team scores over 90 on not playing Talley enough? C'mon dude.

How could his defense possibly be any worse? We are constantly getting blown by for easy layups, its been a trend all season. The Tech game we should have lost by 10 if not for all the easy layups they missed.

You act like nobody ever bashed Hoiberg after loses. This vendetta that everyone is out to get Prohm on this board is getting really old. Prohm was undoubtedly outcoached today just like every other Iowa State coach has been before. Don’t act surprised though when people point out he wasn’t good today

Teams that win championships have a different level of toughness and we don't have that.

Frankly, it has seemed to me during the Hoiberg and Prohm years that the guys who play with the most toughness are our transfers who learned it other places. We always have guys that play with effort on defense but I think there is a level of toughness that needs to be coached into teams. If Jacobsen and Lard got into a fight during a rebounding drill in practice tomorrow, I would not be unhappy.

Talley's good play today is one of the few bright spots in a head-scratching loss. Good for him.

The defense was abysmal today, no doubt about it, and you're correct that giving up the lane for lay-ups has been an issue as well. But, despite that, coming into the game we were a Top 20 team in defensive efficiency. As bad as it was today, we've been doing some pretty good things on the defensive end throughout the season.

We need our leader (shayok) to play well. This is a pretty bad 3 game slump for him. (Minus a couple late game heroics it’s been ugly) he is really the key to this team.

I’m not saying to go out there and make a bunch of fouls, but first of all play with fire and trust your coaching and fundamentals that you will not make stupid basketball plays while you are playing with fire.

Tucker and Wiggington have the ability to make this team unstoppable but at the same time can sink this team in minutes with horrible shot selection, inconsistency, poor defense and terrible decisions.
...

Agree, and you can expect some this out of a frosh, but not with Wiggy. His guys are running past him A LOT this year. Seems like he was a better defender off the dribble last year. He'll get on track.

You can really start to see it getting to him more and more. That could be troubling but we all know his work ethic and you can bet he will be at the gym tonight working on stuff.

I'm far from a homer. I'm also a realist who understands the success of a college basketball team is not decided by a couple regular season games, and that sometimes coaches and players plain ass don't show up certain nights.

I'm not going to meltdown after a loss on February 9th. If this **** continues through the season, then I'll be right with you.

And if you're going to foul on a dunk at least make it look like you are trying. Not just some hand touching junk
