Really happy Parker is our guy at 141. He’s bought in and has an unbelievable tank. Not sure I’ve ever seen Parker gas before. Excited to see how he competes against Alber and the other top guys he has left this year

I'm glad the other 141 guy got the first bus ticket out of town. Parker doesn't get enough credit for his season so far. He is 1 bush league call against Turk and a slam call away from being undefeated. This kid puts in the work and he's getting some of those benefits as he continues to move up.

The last 2 years he has gone down to Stillwater, Oklahoma and beat a 2X National Champion and 2X All-American in their home gym. Sunday is another tough one.

I kind of forgot about that Alber match. I'll be there in the west gym. Should be a dandy.

133 and 157 were once again the vortex of a volatile weekend of college wrestling. But it was Ian Parker of Iowa State at 141 who made the most noise of anyone. Below, we recap the biggest movers up and down the rankings after week 13.

Stock Is Up
141 Pounds: Ian Parker, Iowa State

From #18 to #11

Parker lost to Iowa's Vince Turk at the Lindenwood Open back in November but has been undefeated ever since. Parker kept that streak going in a big way last weekend, knocking off Dom Demas in Ames and two-time All-American Kaid Brock in Stillwater. Last weekend belonged to Ian Parker.

Agreed. Parker is a Cyclone through and through and was willing to work with and learn from the new coaches. He is the epitome of a grinder and will be a great Cyclone when it is all said and done.

I really like Ian - although maybe a little limited offensively, he is a very solid wrestler. If he can continue to open up his offense and grow there, he has the chance to be very good. He is a great fit for this staff.

Also, we will have a top 10 p4p kid coming in at his weight too. Future is bright!

In my opinion, Parker is the epitome of the change Dresser has brought. In the past, we didn’t have many, if any, guys who could push the pace and grind through matches the way he does. He’s able to get takedowns, gets out from bottom, and has shown signs of being a hammer on top. Wrestled a full seven minutes.

Has wins over DeSanto, Dean Heil, Demas, and Kaid Brock.

And, he’s still only a sophomore.
