Have a fairly recent one that came to mind: Troy Gentry from the duo Montgomery Gentry died in 2017 in a helicopter crash. Apparently he and Eddie agreed if something ever happened to either one of them they'd continue to keep the Montgomery Gentry brand alive so Eddie is still touring with their band who have been singing Troy's vocals but it still will never be the same without him. Pretty nice tribute to Troy the other year at the CMA awards with his wife and daughter holding back tears in the crowd:

Kyle Evans is an artist that I'm sure no one else here has ever heard of. He sang cowboy songs, and that's he ever wanted to do. He died when the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer. I enjoyed his music and his voice.
