This is what I'm talking about. I sit in the corner balcony at Hilton, so I realize the distance is not this great due to perspective. What I'm concerned about is if I sit near this bend, there will be numerous bodies blocking the far half of the court.
It’s watchable, but it did make me appreciate Hilton even more.

I've never seen the empty seats before, only crowd shots; I was honestly surprised when I saw benches. For as much money as they have, you'd think they would have better seating. I have a feeling by halftime I will be regretting my choice to attend, regardless of the score.

Another dumb question - do they stand the whole time? Not that I'm against students standing, but a) my back won't take it and b) I'm freakin' short - I don't want to watch someone's shoulders!

You seriously think they're going to mess with a sweet lil' ol' granny like me?

Actually, we have a retirement goal of visiting all of the Big 12 arenas & stadiums. Been to KU & KSU football (also former member CU) and UT basketball. This seemed like a good opportunity to pick up KU basketball. And even if we don't win, I can hang my hat on the fact that they didn't sweep us. :D
I'm also looking at buying a parking pass on Stubhub. I realize we could probably find free parking, but with my back issues (and having to sit in a backless seat) I don't expect to be able to walk back any great distance. $24 for lot 93. I'm thinking it's worth it.
Thanks for the offer of food & drink tips; we're staying in Lincoln the night before with a son & his fam and staying as long as possible on Monday, so we'll be arriving with just enough time to drop off the bags at the hotel & head for the game. Following morning we'll book it for Texas. :)

Parking pass is mandatory. That is a good deal also, 93 is a little bit of a walk though. Lot 90 is really close.

The fans will treat you fine. Have fun and go Clones!

Titus and Tate were talking about the ISU-KU game on One Shining Podcast today. It was 99% talking about KU, and one sentence where Titus said "Iowa State is good as ****."

Tell the Kansas fans you are from Iowa and that your last name is Weatherwax.

Tickets parking pass bought. Took your advice and switched to lot 90. Here's hoping I bring the team good luck!

Behind the bench a bunch of rows back.it was just GA seating.
Ah. That's $85 tickets...better price, but the guy told me that those would be nearly full within 15 minutes of the doors opening for that game. Yeah, I finally called the ticket office to get a better idea of where the seats actually are, and which way they face. He said for section 14, they needed to be seats 1-6, and the row we were looking at (21) was halfway up the upper part of . So I said, 13 & 14 would put me parallel to the court, while 1-6 would give me an angle view? And he kept saying "but 13 & 14 are closer to the court!". It doesn't make any difference if I have to lean out to try to see around the people next to me!!!
We opted to move around the corner to sec 13, row 11. From the looks of it, we will have nearly the same angle we have at Hilton, and maybe slightly closer. I can live with that. :D
