Besides an Iowa State team at a disadvantage in their first game of the season, at home (a game in which you only managed to score a measly 13 points), you guys **** the bed against any halfway decent team you faced and that is why you're not ranked.

Deal with it, get some help, join a support group, whatever it takes to come to grips with the reality that a group of impartial evaluators for the CFP consistently thought we were the better team. Sorry if the truth hurts. Sorry not sorry.
