Appears that our only hope for another L is Pedo State. Although they do seem to struggle with NW on a regular basis, too. Purdue, Illinois, Nebraska. Quite the pile of turds there.
One of these things is not like the others. If my memory is correct Purdue beat the Suckeyes in IC last year and are supposed to be better this year.

Northwestern is losing to Rutgers, at least at the half. That is all we need to know about them. That and they almost lost to the bug eaters. Lol.

Iowa's SOS is #26 in the country to date.

It's not a top 5 schedule like they had last year but it'll end up pretty average by the end of the year. Hardly horrendous.

Don’t even bother. These people have seething hatred for the University of Iowa, and they will ignore all stats and facts you present to them if it doesn’t fit their narrative.

Why are you posting on here? Iowa won. Oh ya, you are obsessed with ISU.

SOS is a metric that can be gamed a bit.

You can get a high SOS by playing a weak noncon and a hard conference schedule, or by having a not as soft noncon and having a bunch of mediocre games throughout the schedule.

Iowa's is typically the latter and that latter schedule is the one people usually call out as more of a 'fake' because you can get through that without really beating anyone of value.

The better metric when determining if a program like is a bit of a 'fake' when comparing to other top 10 teams would be to look at a metric that weighs the chance of getting 10-11 wins vs that schedule (or the level of team you'd need to be to get 10-11 wins vs that schedule, and then rank teams based on that).

Sure it is. I don't find it necessary to run to an Iowa board when ISU plays a Big 12 opponent.

Little brother

You probably didn’t notice but the thread title is Iowa/Maryland. Really don’t care that much about the opinions of fans of a team we routinely beat but heck, stupidity can be entertaining. See ya!
