Traditional wings suck
That again really depends on where you're getting your traditional wings from. some places have barely any meat on the bones (and yes, those suck), while some places have much more quality wings with a lot of meat on each. Those can end up better than a lot of boneless wings, especially if the 'boneless' wings end up with way too much breading and not much meat.

Good Traditional Wings kick good Boneless Wings ass all day e'ry day.

^^^ Yes, those will be the banquet hall

The Subway/King Buffet/Radio Shack building is on a different parcel, shared by the theater and Staples. Jethro's couldn't own just that building -- they'd have to be renting space.

Pretty OT, but when did West Cyde Wings shut down? Always thought they were pretty good.
They have been gone a while.
The original owner sold to another owner who did a good job, but then they, in turn, turned it over to some folks who didn't do so well. I don't think they had much experience running a restaurant. It closed up pretty quickly quickly after that.

At first, I thought it was a dumb idea to locate right across the street from Hickory Park. Now, I think it was brilliant. Jethro's will get lots of people just because of their brand recognition, but plenty of other business from people who want something different that BWW and HP. I could see them taking a significant cut from both. From BWW because of better food. From HP because of being more of a sports bar restaurant.

True, I've heard that is the plan though so they must be renting that space (or maybe parceling off and buying, not sure).

Jethro's wings are fantastic. Also I would kill someone if they stood between me and the Waffle Fry Nachos.

This. When we do Jethro's we usually get wings, ribs, and Waffle Fry Nachos. So f'n good!

And don't forget that tater tot casserole, that's bomb as well. Too bad it's not at all locations.

I think when the last change in ownership happened, one of the owners actually came on here to ask for advice in how to make the restaurant better. Guess it shows what we know here about restaurants.

Yeah, those waffle fry nachos with pulled pork are unreal. Rest of their menu other than wings is hit and miss. I still like HP for the value, dessert and the food is good, but it's nice to have another good option. It's frustrating when you walk in to HP and there's a 40 minute wait.

Biggest sports bar in the Midwest? I'll take that. Gonna be tough on the Sports Page and OP.
