I understand all the KU players are going full sideshow bob to confuse witnesses during upcoming police lineups.

This seems awfully clairvoyant based upon legal news coming out about Graham and Jackson during the same week. Are you a sorcerer?

One big difference, Sideshow Bob ended up in jail... Lagerald Vick may or may not have gotten sick in December.

It's noteworthy that the damage was suddenly reduced from a felony amount reported earlier to less than a grand. And the beaten girl seems to have disappeared. Maybe she liked her WBB scholarship? You got to love J'hawk hoops. My god.

A police report categorizes the $2,991 in damage to the car as a felony.

Police were called to a parking lot near the Yacht Club on Wisconsin Street just before 2 a.m., according to the report. Officers spoke with the victim, who is the same female student a KU investigation found Vick likely hit in the arm multiple times and kicked in the face in late 2015. A phone number for that student has been disconnected and an attorney for the family has not returned multiple phone calls for comment.

The police are generally pretty bad at estimating the cost of damages on vehicles.

You can't make this stuff up:

"Branson says Jackson ended up kicking the drivers door and taillight of the vehicle causing an estimated $1,100 in damage. Branson said another unkown person did more damage and the total damage to the 2016 Ford Focus was estimated at over $3,100." WIBW

They really should have put "unknown" in quotation marks. Didn't somebody report that the word "Liar" was scratched into the side of the car?

For $3,100 you could probably replace the door and bumper of a Ford Focus. Some kid kicking it isn't going to cause enough damage to need to be replaced. Thats ridiculous. Nice to see the courts call them on that BS.

I thought that there was a line that said "A police report categorizes the $2,991 in damage to the car as a felony." $109 isn't that far off. What are you talking about saying the court calls them out on that BS? I must have missed reading that

As a radio station down here pointed out, this incident happened ONE YEAR after the Vick incident, and Vick and Johnson were hanging out with the girl. How freaking dumb to you have to be? Also, Self is kind of an idiot not suspending Jackson, especially when these next 2 games are pretty much pointless.

A massive shooting slump. Her field goal percentage has dropped to 29.4% on the season, including 23.2% during conference play and an even more pathetic 15.5% from three in Big 12 play (9-58).

Could that be because of her loss in playing time? This part of the article is damning...

McKenzie Calvert. The sophomore guard, who was a top recruit before coming to KU, was the Jayhawks’ leading scorer in five of the first eight women’s games this season. She averaged 28.1 minutes per game.

Calvert didn’t play in the ninth game, which was two days after she reported the vandalism to police. In the next 18 games, she didn’t play in another three. In those 19 games, her minutes per game dropped to 15.6.

I am sure her daddy had plenty of input into the wording of the article. He's been a very vocal contributor to the KC Star's articles on all of this.

Looking at her game log, it looks like she had a hot first four games and then cooled off, then to see her minutes start to be cut in games prior to the Dec. 9th incident. I think more likely is that the source of the information for the article, her father, thinks that the reason her daughter's minutes have gone down is because of the incident and not her poor play. Some parents have blinders on when it comes to their kids. It happens.

Looking at those stats, it doesn't seem near as bad. However, as you say some parents have blinders on, Ill remind you the same thing can be said for most fans. Lets not pretend that Bill Self has a lot of pull in the KU AD. To deny that would be ignorant.
