So I spelled it wrongWho is Duncan Doughnuts?
Just had a thought (it's what retired guys do on cold winter days) about how much money I would have spent if the 13,000 java's had been all fancy coffee shop mochas. Ah, enough to buy a Boxster. Yikes.![]()

Dunkin Donuts, Happy?
there's a reason the coffee shop place is generally a fall/winter once a week thing. Usually just do the free work stuff.
No free coffee for me, even with home brewed cost it was cheap over 20 years compared to $65,000 for mocha equivalent.
Also the mochas would have been something like 2,340,000 calories versus the 26,000 for my regular black Columbian.Black java is like 2 calories a cup.
Don't stop me, I am rolling now.![]()
1816 (two hundred years ago this year coincidentally) was pretty bad too. It was "the year without a summer".I heard some guy on the radio comment about people claiming 2016 was the worst year ever. He said when the bubonic plague swept through Europe was probably worse.

Yes. Actually there were several large eruptions in the few years leading up to 1815 all putting a bunch of dust in the atmosphere and then the huge Indonesian one in 2015 (100 cubic km of material spewed into the atmosphere!) put the planet over the top.wasn't that due to a volcano somewhere?
It used to be an east coast thing but has spread out. We have them in Omaha and I think they are also in Des Moines. But these are all owned by ex Huskers so I don't give them my business. No, because I have no dunkin donuts.

That sounds intriguing. What is it, a deep fried croissant?Didn't know they were owned by ex huskers, but I'd still take their iced latte and croissant donut over anything from starbucks.
