Per Alex Halstead on twitter. Defensive Line depth takes a hit.
Could also be another reason for adding Justin Stewart so late.

I'm actually kind of surprised more people don't do this. If you're a little ways down the depth chart, not ever going to make a living playing football, and you can graduate and start a career, it would be tough to continue to go through workouts/practices/etc.
Just to preface that this is not a knock on White at all, but to some (I would guess) stick around because of the brotherhood and friendships and just getting in there with the guys everyday is why the stay.
Like I said, I have no idea about any particulars in this situation and am not knocking on White.
In before the kool-aid drinkers on here say this won't affect us at because he's 2nd string.
Just like when Jordan Harris left, people were on here saying he had dropped to 2nd string so losing him would be no big deal.
BS. All these losses hurt. Guys never play an entire game anymore. 2nd stringers and even 3rd stringers see quite a bit of action, and need to. This will hurt.

Always great to read a Clonedude rant.
See I look at it from the opposite side, why not stay in school (free since on scholarship), play football and have fun before you have to start a real career? Think Van Wilder.
I highly doubt it will cost ISU a game.
