McKinley Wright is planning an October decision. 3 officials visit left.
Good sign ISU is getting an official considering he's previously visited and only a short drive from Mpls.

@Gophersnow Talked to #Gophers 2017 PG target Mckinley Wright. Says he'll decide in Oct. Planned officials Iowa St, Xavier, Texas. Already saw MN&Dayton

I've watched the last 3 games of the FIBA u17 Championships and Collin Sexton has dominated this tournament. Unstoppable in transition and plays hard the entire time he's in the game. Will be very hard for Prohm to get him.

In the past few months he's transformed himself from a solid four star top 100 recruit to a five star and possibly a top 10 guy in 2017. I had hoped that he'd be the PG Prohm gets for 2017 but getting him would be an incredible feat at this point.

Someone asked in another thread how Iowa St can land a 5 star, this is how. Identify a talent before he blows up, build a relationship, and hope it holds up after the blue bloods come around. I'm not sure Iowa St is in position to do that with Sexton, but a couple more solid years, and Prohm continues to develope guards, then it could happen.

Prohm rubbing shoulders with the Big Boy Coaches today for Weatherspoon.

@BLUEChip_Miller Ohio St, Miss St, Iowa St, UNC and Louisville are expected to be on hand to see 2017 four-star point guard Nick Weatherspoon.

Roy and Pitino are probably classified as 'Big Boy Coaches". But Thad Matta and Ben Howland, not so much.

Id argue that Matta and Howland consistently landing 4-5 star talent qualify them as big boy recruiters, though they don't have the results that Williams and Pitino to show for it.

Yes, Matta and Howland can recruit. It's safe to say, that if we land Weatherspoon or Sexton, that our coaches have pulled off a big time recruiting job.

I don't think it's likely, but with Prohm's PG track record you never know.

Okay, you are right. OSU forsure gets good players but they never do anything with them, and Howland has won a National Coach of the Year, but I just don't think of them as "Big Boy" Coaches. Either way, beating them out for Weatherspoon would be huge!

Need to get some of these guys on campus. Also think that it might help that they would probably take two PGs because they will have no problem playing both at the same time.

I really want us to be going after McKinley Wright and Jericho Sims hard. Like the way both of those guys play, ISU is close to home for them, and they could potentially be a nice little package deal if we spin this recruitment the right way. Two solid players that have a good upside, IMO, and would be great gets for ISU.
