I bought a small husqvarna as my first saw and quickly regretted it. It just didn't have the power. Then I bought a big boy echo timber wolf

That thing crushes logs. I think stihls u are paying for the name. Take a look at echos. Also I recommend going over 50cc for the power.

Stihl is much more than just the name.

Interesting...my uncle who owns a tee service swears by Husqvarna saws. He uses one daily and has told me he'll never buy anything else.

I believe both Echo & Stihl are great saws as well, but I don't own one, so can't speak to any of them directly.

Nothing wrong with echo. Just pointing out that stihl is more than just the name. There's a reason most of the pros use stihl.

Husky has decent products. However, they've watered down their equipment lineup by slapping their name on cheapo equipment that you can get at the box stores.

If it has a gas engine and no seat, it should be a Stihl. I can't think of any exceptions, honestly :twitcy:

Way up there
Chainsaws and Guns are both required for a level 5 man card.

We just moved to an acreage with some Timber on it, this was basically the argument I used with the wife.... somehow she fell for it! I picked up the Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss, makes every other chainsaw I've owned look like a toy.
