This thread is a train wreck I cannot look away from. It seems like it is only going to get worse.

If your contribution to this thread is one (or all) of the following three statements:

-No matter how this turns out, it is bad for the university.
-BF treats ALL his players this way.
-I'll wait until the facts come out before making an opinion.

No need to post. These have been mentioned on 100 out of 112 posts. This thread could be condensed to about half its size with all the rehash stated in different ways.
Too bad someone on CF isn't adept at creating great polls so we can just vote on our feelings rather than having to post them.

Well that should be easily verified or proven false.

On a different but same note though, it is pretty cool that 2 Senior Football players are Aerospace Engineering majors.

Who the **** in the AD dropped the ball and steered those guys into that major?

Sigh...please shut it down until people can make the intelligent distinction between "coaching" and "racially charged intimidation".

Again, not saying he did anything wrong...but playing for a tough coach is different than playing for a racist one...they are not the same thing.

I've basically heard that players love him or hate him and the difference comes from being able to understand that he does actually care about you. If you can realize that and you can realize that when he does lose it, he's doing it from a places that wants better and it's not on a personal level, you are fine. If you take things on the basketball court and make them personal, you won't like him. I've actually never encountered someone who just said, "Fennelly's okay." It's all or nothing.

Moody is going to have a really hard time proving this is race driven, IMO, from what I know. She also needs to realize that she better be up front about everything on her end because with this lawsuit, what she did isn't a big deal but her lying or withholding things will be a huge deal.

I do feel like this may be the end of Fennelly here.

This x1000. I have friends that hated him and another that won't say a bad thing about him. They are all really close friends and can't even talk about him in the same room because of how different things were and how they were treated.

Disagree. Keep the thread open. Its a conversation worth having.

You could just feel this on coming!! She's always had a chip on her shoulder and now we know it was a Black Lives Matters chip she was carrying. Trouble waiting to happen. She's trying to become a poster child for BLM with the help of who??? They've nearly ruined Mizzou with their antics (just ask the parents of Mizzou students and alums of Mizzou) and now their game is to take on more pristine targets like ISU. Be wary UNI, Iowa and Drake---you will be next!!

Oh, and let me make this prediction: IF BLM and our federal DOJ decide to make this a presedence-setting case like they did at Mizzou, the DOJ will announce that they will be "investigating racial predjudices at ISU" and they will proceed to shake-down ISU like they have been doing with corporate America, municipal Police Departments throughout the nation and now colleges they're targeting with the objective of obtaining a consent decree for ISU to comply with the DOJ's defined settlement agreement, which will be reverse racial discrimination at it's worst---just like it has been in all the above mentioned cases!! NOT GOOD!

Go away.

By the way, anyone know what Moody is up to these days now that she isn't playing basketball (besides suing people).......?

Not that I'm a lawyer or anything but wouldn't she have to prove disparate impact based on race? Probably not an easy case to argue since she graduated and had a successful career.

Using racially charged language and/or using personal or family matters to motivate players would be harassment even if one did it for all players. Not saying that's what happened but would likely be what the lawsuit would try to prove.

Discriminatory language may be explicit, but it can also be coded (a la "thug" with regard to race; or "family values" with regard to sexual orientation).

Using racially charged language and/or using personal or family matters to motivate players would be harassment even if one did it for all players. Not saying that's what happened but would likely be what the lawsuit would try to prove.

This thread is a train wreck I cannot look away from. It seems like it is only going to get worse.

Usually only about 8-10 die hard fans posting about WBB but this has all of the hot buttons. It's like waving a red flag in front of a bull or Chris offering everyone on CF free beer.
