I guess I don't see what some people in this thread are so excited about. Not one player on that team was memorable from the 3 to 4 STJ games I watched this year. STJ was bad for a reason.
I guess he fits a hole but the guy is not a difference maker.

For us, nearly any athlete that is physically mature and athletic enough to run up and down and rebound/defend will be an impact player. If you're expecting someone who averages 16 & 12 to suddenly land in our lap, you'll probably be disappointed.

Agreed...i dont see a major player here. Wait...did i just see praise for the kid because he can catch a bounce pass?...smh.

Kind of hope we pass....have other.needs if we are "making room" for a new player.

This guy is a plus athlete at the forward position in a year that we are trying to get up and down the court. A 22 year old senior that seems to have his head on his shoulders. Hate to tell ya but Deandre Kane was a once in a generation type of 5th year transfer. We have plenty of scoring lined up for next year. I think this guy could fill a Dustin Hogue toughness/football player mentality role.

Big, physical players aren't a need? It's THE need. This guy wouldn't be my first choice, but I would certainly be excited to get him.

Precisely what the transfer market is for. The days of grabbing anyone we want are over.

I realize highlight tapes can sometimes be deceiving, but I don't see what some on here are dissing. Big12 body, goes to the rim strong and appears to have some post moves and even a decent 10 ft. jump shot. Would fill a need. Unless Bowie is the exact same player, I suppose.

Jones, Bowie, Nader. All similar sized and athletic forwards. I think we would have liked another guy like that this year, so we would probably like two guys like that this year.

He looks more like 6'4" to me. I know, shocker, basketball heights being misleading. Pretty much a Burton clone. I don't see him being a great rebounder or much of a contributor. Sorry, just my 2 cents.

Not one, not two, but they embellished his height by 3 inches?

I'd rather go after someone 6'9+. We have no size on next years team and adding a 6'6 guy wouldn't help.

We had a 6'8", 6'9", and 6'10" ride the pine the entire season because they weren't good enough. It is much more important to get guys who can play, than to just look at height.

He's listed at 6'7. If you're going to whine about height in every thread at least go off what they're listed at and not pick and choose when you want to change it
