someone in our neighborhood group had talked to a different (I think?) house and they made it sound like their casings were in the yard. Found 4 at night and 3 the next day. Their description is a bit odd so it may actually be the same house since only one is mentioned. Said it was from a "modern hunting rifle". We had a .223 at home so IDK if that qualifies.
That's a bit convoluted since I'm not sure if he's talking about the initial house or a 2nd one.
IDK, this guy in our neighborhood group said he met with a family today who had 7 shots in their home. He made it seem like it was NOT the house in the news link, said it sounds like several houses on the road were hit. But I would have thought they would have been in the article too.
The only reason they would say it was a modern rifle (semi-auto) is because of the number of casings they found, which would imply someone is out shooting at street signs and possibly houses for "fun" and looking to make a quick getaway.. You don't use a bolt action for that.
Innocent. I have an old .222 but no .223. If the casing does not fit you must acquit.
yeah I just mentioned it as that's as close to a description of the casings as they made. Didn't know if that would make it more or less likely to be the .223. But it wasn't like they said it was something from a pistol or something completely different.

No construction. I believe they're all plow trucks. I think it's to prevent anyone from attempting a drive-by and shooting at the exterior of the conference center. Or to stop someone from driving a big rig or something off the road and crashing into it.
Yup standard procedure. Same thing happens with the Pres. except every guest has to be cleared to stay there at the same time.
