Didn't dig the show either, but I've never listened to it before either. Most radio shows do take some getting used to.

Georges did well, as usual, and any publicity is welcomed in my book

Not a LeBatard fan myself. I'd much rather hear about analytics and matchups and strategy. Georges was great as always though.

I can take LeBatard in limited doses, but just limited doses.

As bad as he can be on radio, it's at least better than his TV show, which is an atrocity.

I'm 180 degrees opposite - I often find the TV show amusing (his dad asking the questions), primarily the rapid fire talk of Bomani Jones.

The radio show is abysmal, illustrated by the last time I listened to him. He and Stugotz interviewed a young MLB pitcher (don't recall who) and asked stupid non-humorous questions. The interview bombed and LeBatard / Stugotz spent the next two segments arguing on air who's fault it was. You know it's bad when you feel uncomfortable listening in your car...

Great answer from Niang about being athletic!

Great lead up with the guys talking about how much they like Niang, then most of the interview is about food that he doesn't eat anymore. What a wasted interview. Definitely went downhill after Niang's great answer about being athletic. "Can normal people do what I do?" Never heard him address this issue before. Indeed, he is athletic. Wish they had stayed on that topic and asked him questions about how he learned to do those moves, how he practices them, can anyone stop him at practice, etc.

Some of you take LeBatard way too seriously
Agreed. His and Bomani's "Highly Questionable" is one of the more fun shows to watch for me. You can't take him seriously, because he is trying to make a joke of what is going on in the world of sports. I agree, when a player of ours is getting interviewed I'd like to hear more about the sport or topic at hand, but that is just who he is. I understand the people who aren't a fan, but he is not meant to be taken seriously.

You guys must not watch Highly Questionable, he doesn't talk about sports with the person he's interviewing.

Just glad to see Dan give Georges and Iowa State more exposure. Last week, they admitted they didn't even know who Utoff was.

Which ones were yours?

I had Jimmy Graham looking like a default created player in a video game and urban meyer looking like he has to own a bigger riding lawnmower than his next door neighbor

last year it was the one with ed orgeron looking like a BBQ pit master who wipes his brow with sweat and describes his secret ingredient as "just cajun love, brutha" and I dunno if it made the tournament but Mike Dunleavy Jr looking like an ammeter police sketch

Two they read often but I guess aren't in the tournament are Brad Stevens looking like he's practicing his golf swing while loudly telling a client he's getting them an "inside deal" over his bluetooth headset and Merrill Hodge looking like the submarine officer who grits his teeth and hums the national anthem while his submarine is being depth charged

I thought it was a fun interview. First time I have heard anybody ask Georges point blank if he was a great athlete. And, of course his answer was a good one.

Best part of the interview by far.

Damn, I don't listen to ESPN radio hardly ever (they generally suck balls don't get me started) and hear this show maybe a couple times a month but even I get this show. You don't have to like something to entirely understand what they're doing. They do what they do pretty well.

The list of bad shows is very long before you get to this one. Try listening to ESPN talk radio for even five seconds in the evening.
