AP Consecutive Weeks Ranked

To drop out of the Top 25, teams below them have to pass them. Baylor just lost at home to unranked Texas. Miami just lost by a zillion at NIT bound NC State. Purdue plays @Maryland Saturday so I doubt they roll into Monday's rankings with a nice smell to them. Kentucky just choked a 21 point lead and lost by 7 to a Tennessee team with a 10-11 record. Arizona just ended a two game losing streak. South Carolina just got smoked by a terrible Georgia team. People forget how bad the bottom of the Top 25 is. ISU isn't dropping out of the Top 25 any time soon.

I don't forget anything. If ISU loses at Ok State on Saturday they arent ranked. 3 straight losses, 16-7 record and 5-5 in conference. You aren't ranked.

ISU has more losses than anyone around them in the polls, sits at 5-4 in their conference and have lost 2 conference games at home. If they win on Saturday they should feel very fortunate if they are still ranked come Monday.

You're an idiot

Duke is 16-6 and isnt ranked!

What does Duke have to do with anything? Look at who ISU has beaten and they have a top 5 SOS. You are completely clueless or trolling (in your case probably both) if you think ISU will be lucky to be ranked if they win Saturday.

I hate to say it, but I almost wish they would drop out. This has always been this teams way, win some great games, get ranked, get cocky and **** it all down their leg. I wish I had some pull, I'd keep them out of the rankings the rest of the year to hopefully light some kind of fire under their *****. You can't just be good and show up, you have to have a desire to win and this team just doesn't always show that.

Once again, we lost WVU top 15 team, not Drake. I'd just like to get someone with no perspective's perspective on what it would take to give them some perspective and find a little depth to their nothingness/regurgitated/knee-jerking.

We'll agree to disagree. I think that ISU would remain in the rankings even if they lose Saturday. Pollsters don't just look at the numbers; they look at what is IN the numbers. Losing @OSU doesn't change the fact that ISU is likely the ONLY team in the nation with wins against three of the current Top 10 in the nation on their resume after beating Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma. I get you're frustrated but this seems to simply be an overreaction.

I am neither a fan of Iowa State nor Iowa. I have zero allegiances to either. I am simply stating what I think. IF Iowa State loses at Oklahoma State they would have 3 straight losses and be 5-5 in conference play. You talk about ISU's great wins, which I agree, are REALLY good wins. But they also would have 2 REALLY bad losses. UNI is #145 in RPI and Ok St's RPI is #130 with an 11-10 record. No team should be ranked at 16-7 the first week of February following 3 straight losses.

I agree they won't be ranked if they lose to OSU.
And Iowa will probably be back in the top 5.

So if ISU wins Saturday they should feel fortunate to be ranked even though they have the #2 SOS in the country?

WVU is not that good. They just have more heart than skill and numbers. Adrian is a dud but his heart has shown the way.

Huggins gets them to play hard, really hard. Then he works the refs, and the players have confidence in their coach. they buy in.

Three out of the next four on the road with the fourth game being at home versus a surging Texas team.
Yes, if we hypothetically lose 3 games out of 4 this week and next we would drop out.

I predict dropping out of Top 25 if we lose Saturday. That would be three losses in a row and sub .500 wins since conference started....5-6.
I'd take that bet all day but I don't want to find out, in all honesty.
