Now that we seem to have identified a pool of finalists, it is the next step where we've gone wrong in the past.

This time just hire the guy you don't have a good feeling about.

Yes, take the Costanza approach, I like it!

But there's no guarantee that any of these guys are going to be any good. We all want Iowa State to take that "next step." I think it's worth a gamble. Go with the guy who gives you the highest upside.

Having said that, I think that Campbell would be a nice hire. Young dude. Energy. We'll see.
While Fleck has highest upside what makes us think he will realize it at ISU before he leaves? Easy for us to sit back and say it's worth the risk when it's not our job on the line.

Here nor there
Fleck is kind of a weirdo personality wise, may not be what JP is looking for.

JP does tend to let things that don't matter determine his hires.

Between the two of Campbell and Fleck, give me Fleck without doubt.

Still hoping for one of Fritz, Stitt, Carey or unknowns (hopefully including Moglia).

Not sure Fleck has the highest upside. IMO, Campbell has the best resume. Campbell has been a winner everywhere he has gone. IMO, he is the best fit. Good solid football coach.

Quite possibly the most ignorant thing I've read on this board. Congratulations.

Everyone needs to remember that ALL this info should be "taken for what it's worth". Just enjoy the rumblings until our new guy is hired.
