Wallace has played receiver in the NFL so theoretically he could be the receivers coach.
DC???
I would take Austin Flynn from Grandview. He has experience as an OC, at least.
What about Atif Austin at North Dakota State to coach receivers? Already recruits Florida and helped get Dondre Daley here and is with a proven winner on the FCC Level
I'm okay with this idea. Sage as QB coach, Seneca as TE coach, Austin Flynn as WR coach. Lean on them heavily for recruiting responsibilities, and lean heavy on the OC to coordinate them as position coaches.
ETA: Not saying this is the BEST approach (though it might be), but if I had to choose between former Cyclones and unknown or lower tier position coaches (e.g. Chizik staff), give me the Cyclones with or without any experience.

This. If we are talking former players my preference would be:
1) Flynn
2) Sage
3) Senneca
* Jake Knott as a GA?
JFC.
Maybe one......not both. Too much inexperience for one staff, especially at recruiting, plus both are QB's. Love them both, but two would be overkill.
so Chris has advocated keeping Ayeni, Shane Burnham, Sturdy and hiring Sage and Seneca. Does the new head coach get to bring anyone with him?
We just fired a coach that loved Iowa state. I don't relish the idea of having to fire two more that love Iowa state. And history tells us the next staff is likely to get the boot at some time.
No way you can have all three on the same staff. Maybe one at most.I'm okay with this idea. Sage as QB coach, Seneca as TE coach, Austin Flynn as WR coach. Lean on them heavily for recruiting responsibilities, and lean heavy on the OC to coordinate them as position coaches.

Since they can't both coach QBs, where would you assign each guy?
Nope. I've already put the staff together for him! Making it easy on the new guy.![]()
