Pitt(8-3), Wisconsin(8-3), Northwestern(9-2), and if they win the B1G Championship, that one.

If they lose to Nebraska or in the B1G title game this entire conversation is meaningless anyway.

TCU's best 3 wins are Texas Tech(6-5), WVU(6-4) and.....Texas/Minnesota(both 5-6)?

Those do look like good wins based on record. But keep in mind, the only top 25 team that ANY of those 3 teams beat, was NW over Wisconsin.

Edit: forgot about NW's win over Stanford. But something about time zones or something like that.

The only difference between any of those teams is that Tech, WVU, and UT have played stiffer competition. Hence the worse records. They're all average teams. If they played one another the home team would probably win.

TCU's sos is #11 and Iowa's is #65 according to Team Rankings.

Massey Rankings has Iowa a little closer... TCU #23 and Iowa #53

You said "Ohio State lost it's only chance to beat a top 25 team too." That is incorrect as they play a Michigan team that is ranked 12th in all polls at the moment.

You also said "the committee is setting an ugly precedent if they allow Iowa in the playoff if they have one single win against a top 25 team and the rest of their wins being relatively close games.' If Iowa wins out they will play either MSU, OSU, or Michigan. All 3 of those will be ranked in the top 10 for the B1G championship game, so there is no way an undefeated Iowa only has 1 win against a top 25 team. So again, you are incorrect.

I know your ****** that Iowa's having a good season, but let's not throw all logic and reason out the window. And if you're going to rag on every Big 10 team, at least have your facts straight.

First of all, I said none of that, reading comprehension is your friend. Hint check your quotes before, like most hawk fans, you become a irrational whiny little ***** every time someone point out facts that don't say the Hawks are the best team in the country. I have no ill will and certainly am not ****** the hawks are having a good season, so quit your whining. I'm actually quite impressed with the team and like this iteration. Its the incessant whining and attacks from classless hawk fans every time someone suggest that Iowa and the Big ten are over-rated by a biased system.

All I did was refute your little hissy fit rant with logic and facts, and as expected for the classlessness that is hawk nation you didn't disappoint. I got another misdirected irrational hissey fit.

You were in fact wrong. All I said was OSU will not be a top 10 team if they lose another game, which they'd have to do to lose to Iowa. They don't really deserve to be one now. Thus, Iowa would not have any wins over top 10 teams when the committee sits down that last session. You were incorrect. I pointed it out.

As for much of your other arguments, I actually agree. An undefeated Power five champ who did go out and try and play other power 5 teams in the non-con should be part of the playoff. I do however believe if OSU ends up winning the big ten with one loss, they don't deserve to get in. They played a chicken **** non con and should be well below Baylor.

If we were to look at it in the RPI, OSU likely wouldn't be in the top ten. Let alone the top 4. Even with 2 more wins. Iowa at least still has the undefeated thing to hang their hat on, and should be included, but not on resume quality. I really don't believe that they are top 5, or really top 10, but I think you have to include someone who played 2 power 5's in the non con and gos undefeated in a power 5.

You responded to my reply to JohnnyFive so I mistook you for him. My bad.

The rest of your rant is unnecessary. I've been rooting for the Cyclone since I was 13. I've always pulled for both teams. I'm a Hawk lean because of growing up closer to Iowa City, but I've been to the Big 8(yes, before the Big12) basketball tournament to watch the Cyclones, I've been to many football games(no, not just Iowa-ISU games), including the win over Nebraska in 2002.

I know being a fan of both teams is frowned upon in these parts, but I really don't care. I hate all this conspiracy/bias talk. I think it reeks of victim mentality and makes ISU fans look ridiculous. I knew the instant I didn't buy this stupid crap it wouldn't take long to be called a 'Hok fan', but again, I really couldn't care less.

I AM happy that Rhoads is gone. I thought he should have been gone last year and the list of candidates that Chris wrote about is very promising. You'll probably see me post later in the 'you can win at ISU' thread because I absolutely believe it's true. There's no real reason ISU shouldn't be able to average 7 to 8 wins per season with a good coach who can develop talent.

Lastly, I agree with you on OSU, but if you want to see a chicken **** OOC schedule, look at Baylor. They have no one to blame but themselves for that. When ISU plays a tougher OOC than Baylor or Okie State, blame Baylor and Okie State. OSU did play Virginia Tech, it's not their fault that VaTech had a down year. Northern Illinois is about as good of a mid-major as you can schedule as well(usually). That said, I enjoyed watching Urban lose last night.

Actually it was necessary, I was stating that you did exactly what every whiny hawk fan I encounter does. Great you also root for the Cyclones. But the Low class hawk fan in you started irrationally throwing haymakers and generalizing all doubters that dare give you facts.

By the way, By most standards that "chicken" scheduling from baylor still gives them a better SOS than OSU at the end of the year, and this from a johnny come lately to the big boy's Table in Baylor. They haven't been good enough long enough to get home and home's against anyone. OSU can pick whoever they want to come in and play at the shoe any time they quit being a chicken ****. Va Tech should be OSU's 2nd or third best team that they play in the non-con. They have all the advantages that Baylor does not when it comes to scheduling. Va tech hasn't been more than average for about 15 years now, and OSU is scheduling them like its the centerpiece of their 4 cupcakes. OSU doesn't deserve top 10 let alone top 4. Yet you can't see the bias? Its not victim mentality, its very easy to see a clear bias if you aren't a big 10 homer.

The guy I THOUGHT I was responding to was wrong, and I was correcting him. As I said, you were the victim of my mistaken identity.

Otherwise we haven't disagreed on much, other than I think this bias thing is WAY overblown. I think it will shake out in the end just fine.
