Just my two cents (and probably overpriced): rap/hip hop pretty much died for me after the early 2000's. Most of today's "rappers" (they're more like singing now, rather than rapping) couldn't hold a candle to the rap/hip hop pioneers of the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's.

Really? That ones more recent and was a really popular song for a while. I'll let someone else take it though. Because of the implications.

The contributing group was Leaders of the New School, which would be hard to remember for anyone not named me or carvers4math.
I've gotten old and don't listen to much modern music. Old, stubborn and stuck in my days. I may not be 1985 like fountains of Wayne, I'm more 1988-1992 area.
