ESPN just showed what the New Year's Six bowl games would be if these rankings hold:

Peach Bowl: Iowa vs. Memphis
Sugar Bowl: Baylor vs. Florida
Rose Bowl: Michigan State vs. Stanford
Fiesta Bowl: Notre Dame vs. TCU

Orange Bowl (playoff): #1 Clemson vs. #4 Alabama
Cotton Bowl (playoff): #2 LSU vs. #3 Ohio State

Will be interesting to see if any B12 team can jump ND if they both win out.

I'll be curious to see how it will be rationalized should a deserving Big XII team be left out again. Thankfully theres still a few weeks for the standings to sort themselves out.

Yes. This backloaded B12 schedule is going to hurt the conference more than help. OU, OSU, Baylor, TCU are going to kill each other.

Unless a team escapes unscathed. There is zero doubt that if any of those teams wins out and goes 12-0 (or 11-1 for OU) they will be in. (Maybe like 1% doubt for OU at 11-1.)

Think it is better than having a Kansas, ISU, or WV as your last game. We all saw what that got TCU last year.
If one of those 4 manage to win 3 they are a lock.

Since Big 12 has now championship game, league needed to go all in on a 4 team tourney to finish the season.

Man it would be fun to be part of that wouldn't it.

The reason the B12 teams are lower than the polls is SOS is supposedly built into this. Stands to reason as the heavyweights play each other if Baylor TCU remain undefeated against the other teams one of them will get in the final 4 as there SOS will improve.

They are predicting a blood bath in the big 12. I would tend to agree with them.

This statement couldn't be more wrong. They are assessing the situation as of Nov 3, not making predictions for the future. That is clear to anyone that is paying attention to how the playoffs work.

You sounded butt hurt in the other thread Gonzo. Make up your mind.

You're misinterpreting. I'm the guy who predicted a disastrous 5 or 6 win season for Iowa this year. I'm not hurting over anything. AP has us #10 for several weeks. CF playoff poll has us #9, obviously a lot of stock in the beatdown we gave the #21 team in their house. Great season so far.

Yeah. But did you beat Texas? I think not.

Iowa wins out till conference championship game as does Ohio State. Then Ohio State thumps them big and gets number 1 spot in playoff. Even without a loss, no way TCU will jump 4 teams that play a conference championship game to get in the top 4. Screw the big 12 again.

They need to disband this committee and start over. Alabama lost to Ole miss who lost to memphis. That by itself should put Bama behind tcu and baylor.

The minute the computers stopped deciding this is when it became a joke.

The eye test? Lol. You mean the let me put in who I want test no matter how deserving another team is.
