Welcome aboard Melvin! We miss you big time!

I agree with the previous poster that said Melvin will be ISU's head coach sometime in the future. I could definitely see that happening. Have you ever thought about getting into coaching Mel?

Edge - remember that time when you had 48 points in that game and a whole bunch of dunks?

That was awesome...

With the exception of me. I seen the potential even when T.J. started to recruit him. Mel is simply legendary..

Word of advice, don't read any threads about you from your freshman and sophomore seasons.... All these fan boys will be embarassed by what they said.

Melvin, does Georges's mom really make delicious cookies? It's ok to answer truthfully. She never visits this site.

Also, you're the man and one of my all time favorite Cyclones!

Another reason Melvin is such a likable dude is the way he carries himself. "Just like a regular dude". Not conceited, the stardom never made his head swell. I always admired that about Melvin. He is most definitely a genuine, humble guy that has the time to greet fans, and helped out with community events in the past (ie Special Olympic's) just showed how much of an ambassador of the University he was.

Iowa State Hall of Fame, well that should be a no-brainier decision to include Melvin Ejim.

Retiring his jersey? Many argue it should encompass the elite players.. Melvin Ejim was an elite player and then some!

Any chance you'll make an appearance in the Capital City League this summer?

If you get a chance to go watch some of the Cap City League games, can you post on here which ones? I am going to try to make all of them but I want to make sure I make it to the one you might be at.

I loved watching you play and interact with players and fans. You are truly loved here and I hope this will be just one of many visits.

If you get to do NBA tryouts, please let us know about that also. A lot of times they show that on cable.

Thanks for being one of the great Cyclones!!!

Welcome Mr. Ejim!

As a fellow Canuck, I loved watching you play.

Do you follow hockey? Do you have a favorite team?

Good luck in your future endeavors!

Unfortunately I'm not a true fan but my favorite team would have to be the maple leafs fan by default.

Looking forward to seeing your posts in other threads . . . and watching people replying and giving you crap without recognizing it is you.

Thanks for the great 4 years of memories Mel. You were my son's favorite player all 4 years and a big reason he's grown into a huge Cyclone fan at the age of 6.

Wow this is REALLY cool. Thank you so much for everything ISU basketball related, and thank you for being such a role model for my boys while you were in Ames. Your work ethic is second to none and will make the sky the limit for you in whatever you decide to do whenever you get old like myself.
This, Melvin was my 2nboys favorite player with Georges a close second and such a great role model (including the bird, a little edge every now and then is human ;).

Welcome to CF Melvin. You're #3 should be in Hilton's rafters eventually IMO.

What's the craziest thing you've seen in Italy/in your post college travels?

Also: do you still have the Keg Stand t-shirt?

Hey Mel. I was also a history major at ISU (quite a while ago). Do you think you might eventually like to teach (after the millions you make playing hoops, that is) and/or coach? I have found teaching to be one of the most rewarding things I've done in my life (although it can often be a thankless job). Anyway - thanks for representing Cyclone Nation so well. Here's hoping your Jersey will be hanging in the rafters at Hilton sometime in the near future - you deserve it!
