This team is absolutely schizophrenic. How can they beat a good team like Baylor and then flounder against the cellar dwellers of the Big 12? Great win, but not sure it will be enough to even get an NCAA bid.
Whatever you do, under no circumstances give the women an unqualified congratulations, which is exactly what they deserved with a win over the 3rd ranked team in the nation.

Great, great win. With the milestone, coach will remember it, I'm sure. I was very happy for the seniors. I couldn't believe the way Fallon played and shot the 3, especially happy for her. Great energy in the building. We've got to parlay that into a win on Monday. Would love to see us exact some karma fo the loss to KU. I'm sure they'll have some ticket give away, or promotion waiting for us. Seems like they always do. In some ways I want to help escort Bonnie out the door, but it's good with her keeping the program down.

I hate that the men and women are playing at the same time, again. If they could both play well, it would help my blood pressure.

A little off-topic but there is what could be a good WBB watch this afternoon on BTN at 2:00. Gophers at Iowa. Only mentioning here because we have some fans of the sport here (not just Cyclone fans) in this thread. Chance to see Amanda Zahui B. She went for 39 points and 29 rebounds last game against Iowa.

Probably just jinxed her and the Gophers by posting this although they just got crushed by the Huskers so who knows. They are a little Cyclone-like in their inconsistency.

BTW, where Geewago? Actually expected him to post something even though they lost.

Kidd's first 3 was the 5000th made three pointer in the (now) 640 game streak. That was noted on the FoxSportsSW rebroadcast late last night as well as mentioned in the 'notes' from the Cyclones.com page about the game.

On not fouling at the end of the game -

There was still 1:19 to go, but Ellis ended Baylor’s next possession with a steal, and a Moody layup made it a two-score game. After Imani Wright missed a 3-pointer with 29 seconds remaining, Seanna Johnson, who finished with eight points, nine rebounds and five assists, rebounded and Baylor elected not to foul.
“That was just youth, and they did that on their own,” Mulkey said. “It wasn’t anything where we gave up or anything. But I’m not sure they missed many free throws, either.”

I was surprised they didn't foul either, but like Mulkey said, ISU was pretty much lights out from the charity stripe in this game. I'm really glad i went instead of staying home to watch the men lose :) It was also great for Fallon Ellis to have a monster game (career high in points on senior night -> priceless). Was great to see all of the seniors have big nights and get a big win. The only downside was the taped speeches that went on a "bit" too long after the game. But i stayed for them all as they deserved to have their moment :)

Way to go lady clones!!!

Those were shorter (per player) than many other years.

I saw on the highlights that Fallon Ellis sang the Star Spangled Banner so had to go out and find a video of that and glad that Cyclones.tv has it out there: http://www.cyclones.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?id=3762324&db_oem_id=10700

This isn't anything against the pep band because they do a good job with it but I remember the days when someone different sang the national anthem every game and I would love to see more of that again with bringing in people to sing the national anthem. I'm sure there are some very talented music majors at ISU that would like that opportunity as well as bringing in some local singers or groups to do it as well.

I was shocked by this as well. Not buying KM's explanation either. Every team has a visual signal to foul at the end of the game. Cripes, I had one when I was coaching freshman girls' BB. Kim was just standing there, just as passive as the players were. The fact that ISU had shot well up to that point only makes it more likely that they will miss the next one. Rick Barnes did a phenomenal job of this in the last Texas game.

After the loss to OU - This game was pretty much meaningless to BU. They will probably win the B12 tourney going away. They were the big 12 champs and a #2 seed in the NCAA regardless. Not too take away from our win - BU was still trying - just a reason now to prolong the game.

Time limit: 90 seconds. Automatic re-invite if under 75 seconds.

It's not a dirge, and it's not a "look at me" moment. Get out there, sing it with pace (and on key), and be done.

The Kuhlmann (?) Sisters once clocked in under a minute, and it was extremely well done.
