Stormin...explain to me what "skin in the game" means to you. And allow me to present you a scenario...
I spent 4 years at ISU, contributed in various ways, was even a season ticket holder at one point...but no longer find that a tenable situation because of my family and my responsibilities. Am I a naysayer because I'm tired of 30+ years of crappy football and for hearing the same excuses? Is my opinion worth less? What do I need to contribute before you and the others consider it to be "skin"?
Finally, I happen to know one of the largest contributors to the ISU Athletic department. He's a personal friend of mine. In all our years, he's never once said to me "You know, I'd appreciate you just not share with me your ideas because I contribute so much that frankly, your opinion is worthless." Oddly enough, he and I usually agree.
I do appreciate your thoughts and if what you're trying to say is that people should be "invested" in Cyclone athletics, I agree. But let's not make this a money issue because to be honest, I highly doubt that most people on this site contribute enough to make any significant difference at all. In the end, this site is FOR opinions...and it wouldn't be much fun without them.
