I think 12th may be a stretch for Iowa to live up too. Even with Chase Coley coming in, they are still very thin at the post position. They can score but can they stop the other team from scoring. I see that Minnesota is on the waiting list. New coach, new offense... even with Rachael Banham that seems a little too good to be true. The Cyclones have enough returning and good new kids coming in that we should be in the top 25 at some point next season.

Next year could/should be a good year for the Hawks. They pretty much return everyone, and are loaded with talent. Logic will likely be a candidate for Big 10 POY. Kastanek and Disteroff would have looked better in Red/Gold.

There are several options for the post, two big sophomores that could see time as back up along with Coley, and at the four they have Till and Disteroff.

Probably the best roster they have had in a while, stacked with top 100 type talent. If Bludder doesn't get beyond the 1st round next year, she never will.

I hope she doesn't and she will never do so.

I think people are overlooking ISU. The team spent much of the year ranked, obviously had its funk and struggles, but could beat nearly anyone on a given day. 99% of that roster is back and with the new recruits deeper than its been in a long time. The missing link is post play. How will the posts step up? If Fernstrom is everything she's supposed to be and Maddie comes back in one piece that question could be answered. They you have depth at the post with Ricketts and hopefully Jensen. Our guards/forwards could cause very real problems for our opponents. I'm excited already...

Creme's ranking is mostly a lot of guessing. Gives rise to some talking and debating to keep some fresh interest in the off-season.

ISU has potential, and I'd much rather not be in the list, be an underdog, and have to earn our way into the national picture.

Iowa should be good next year, but not sure about top-15 good. Their men could not live up to the expectations that emerged this year, and that might be the same fate for their women next year.

ISU will have to step up its game if it's going to challenge at Iowa next fall. We've been beaten by bad Iowa teams at Iowa, so maybe it will be good to play a good Iowa team there.

Hope we can hit our threes next year.
Hope we can curt down the turnovers.
Hope we can rebound.

99 percent, minus their best player. OK.

Do you mean past the 2nd round? They made it past the 1st round the past two years.

Don't think that Coley will be a difference-maker for them either. For ISU, Durr is a top 100 recruit, and could help immediately. Don't know that it's fair to count on any of the other newcomers right away. This is a nice recruiting class for ISU, but it's not as if it's a top 20 class nationally - it's not.

Bill Fennelly has said that Nakiah Bell will likely contribute right away too.

Prospectsnation had this class as 21st, so 20th, maybe not, but close.

I don't know what you have been watching, but Hallie Christofferson was a LOT more than 1% of this team. How about 30-40%. And you're going to slove that with 2 freshmen an 2 unproven sophmores? Assuming Maddie gets a medical redshirt?

With the four returning starters, we will need big minutes from Bell, Durr, and Fernstrom. I think we have the players to be in the top 25 sometime next year and be in the top 4 of the Big 12 next season. We need to find a vocal leader and to jell as a team with all the new talent coming in. We need another strong class in 2015 to keep this momentum going for the Cyclones.

OK...if you want to misrepresent my intent I'll provide the numbers for you.
Scoring. 75% of our points come back next year. That is a LARGE amount.
Rebounding. 81% of our rebounds return. Again a very large number
Free Throw Shooting. 69% of our free throws made come back. 72% of the attempts return.
Assists. 93% of the assists return.
Three Point Shots. 89% of our made three pointers returns. 86% of the attempts return.
Steals. 87% return
Blocks. 65'% return.
I would say that constitutes a VERY high level of our production returning.
