Nothing says deep, insightful smack talk quite like 'CyCLOWNS.'

You can see these tavern Hawks sitting with their buddies: 'Cyclowns. Get it? Clones...clowns. Pretty good huh? And now I am going to over use it for the next two decades.'
We have the same dip ***** with hoks.

Some day people are going to be pretty upset when they realize we have dirtbag fans just like every other fanbase on earth does. They're going to be really disappointed when they realize for the most part that Iowa and Iowa State fans are the same damn people on a general basis.

The dirtbag factor goes up in proportion with the T-shirt fan factor. I hope at some point in the next couple decades we have more dirtbags as a fanbase than Iowa.

This. As much as I hate the mouth breathing trailer park hawk fans who have no attachment to the school, that's the residue of having the better program for the better part of two decades.

It's a little different, though. With "hok," it's an accurate representation of how an entire segment of their fanbase talks. They simply do not pronounce the "w" in Hawk/Hawkeye. Not all of them, mind you, but enough that it's noticeable. So, pointing it out is more like turning a mirror on them, and showing them who they (at least some of them) are.

There's a little more going on there than just "Hawk sounds like Block. Let's call them Blockeyes" which is basically all the "CyClown" thing is.

That said, neither is exactly the pinnacle of humor.

He is from Norwalk. What do you expect? Could be worse. He could be from Illinois or Nebraska.

Anyway, sad day and I hope he rests in peace.

Whooaaa pump the ******* breaks buddy... I live there along with several others on this site. He is trash but no need to pull everyone else down with him.

If I could encourage everyone not to post the nasty filth from other boards, I'm sure a lot of us would appreciate it. If you want to click on a link it is one thing, but I don't think we need to show any of that over here.

Gotcha.... I have a lot of back and forth with TrollfromNorwalk. That guy is the lowest piece of crap I have ever seen but it's just an "internet persona" according to him. Norwalk has great people in it and great Cyclone fans.

Back to Jason Berryman. I don't think I've seen a defense player on the cyclones more dominate then the bowl game we had against TCU (if my memory is correct).

Five sacks in one game. I've never seen an Iowa State defender come close to replicating that performance.

Even though ISU lost I think Berryman was defensive mvp of the game. Pretty rare for a losing team to have an mvp.

Last I heard of Jason was about 5 years ago when he was playing for the Barnstormers. They were practicing in Vets and after practice he wandered over to Wells Fargo where Slipknot was rehearsing for an upcoming tour. He got caught stealing something from one of the band members and his Barnstormers career was over.

How about limiting this forum to condolences and tributes? There are plenty of other forums to review his foibles and/or interact with unclassy Hok fans.

Sad. Played pool with him one time. Was very respectful and polite.

he came to our floor in Larch often to play pool. i will never forget, his hands were too big to reach into the pockets to get the balls out. and his arms were very long for a guy his height. he was always very nice and respectful. really good dude from the little bit i knew him.

I had a random Agronomy class with him (which I thought was weird). Can't remember what his size was listed at on the depth chart, but in-person couldn't be anything more than 5-10 220#. What he did at DE in the Big 12, at that size, was simply amazing. Haven't had a D-lineman with his kind of speed since he played. RIP.
