Go find an excavator to dig a huge hole (on top of a hill and away from water sources. Then procure a large front end loader or dozer to push/dump all the walkers into the large hole. If you chose your machine correctly, you would be protected in the cab(which requires climbing skill to enter). You could take care of thousands of walkers per day that way. When you took care of the localized herd, then you start luring walkers into your death trap.

I know it's a TV show, but at some point the walkers have to be eliminated. The characters on the show seem to want to co-habitate with them. If there was any chance of returning to a relatively normal existence, the walkers need to be disposed of.

If they were smart they would reuse the Rotating Walker Bait Trap that Milton had set up. Tyrese knew where it was.

I miss Milton, he actually used his brain to try and counteract the horde rather than just brute force. He would have the jail running with perfect efficiency.


I'm still not sure why they can't use Woodbury. They said something about it being compromised or something.

Similarly, i think you could probably do a farm like in season 2, just have it more fortified. Get some equipment and dig some trenches around the property

I'd also like to see some revisiting of city areas. It seems most of the walkers might have wandered out of the cities in the herds.

Maybe if they run into some more friendly groups they will find someone who has been doing research. I know there was something about the herding walkers that seemed off.

Given they are generally attracted to sound and movement, it seems like herding would just be a natural part of their condition.

Note to self: don't **** with Ty, no matter how many people you bring to the fight.

Note to Dave - I'd be more worried about Carol. Tyrese you can see coming...Carol just slips right in, does what she feels necessary (teaching the children weaponry, trying to remove the potential infection source) and slips right back out again, and everyone (except Rick) searches in the wrong direction...

If this show is going to stay interesting they have to be a little more ambitious than just staying in a prison forever. Get someone who is coordinating a way to take the earth back. Driving the Walkers into holes as mentioned. Burning them and being proactive. Get on a boat. Get to sea and get the show interesting. Develop a society.

Zombie stories are interesting when you see how different groups of people are dealing with the zombies.

I agree. Staying in the prison & exterminating the same type of zombies day after day will get old. There aren't enough people in that prison to keep multiple INTERESTING story lines going. I really liked the show when they were on the move. Still like it, but want to see more interaction with different STABLE groups. I don't count Woodbury as stable. For that matter, Rick's leadership has been somewhat off-kilter this past season as well.

My guess is that massive herd is going to drive them out of the prison. The walls can barely hold back a couple hundred much less thousands.

The 'herd' angle is from the comics, but comes in later. Also, I can't see them killing Glenn off already, that would be a major departure from the comics.

In the comics, this starts to come later.

We've already had large herds in the show though too. At the highway in the beginning of season 2 and at the farm at the end of season 2. They mentioned how getting around could be difficult at the beginning of season 3 due to herd movement.

I wonder if the herding is weather related. I don't think they like cold. I would be movin my *** up to Montana/Canada. Less population density, lots of game. Ice fishing. Fish would probably be the best food source since I don't think Walkers go all "Grizzly bear in the stream". Just move a little farther south in the dead of winter to stay warmer and then back up with the thaw.
