He never said it was at media day. He could have talked to them on the phone.

He said "today" in his original tweet. So he got the scoop from Hoiberg, who then told him to call Sadler to verify? I doubt it.

I think this is and unfortunate turn of events for young Dean Berhow-Goll's career, I hope he enjoys covering 4-H shows in BFE, because I think he's going to have a tough time getting interviews with ISU coaches from now on.

The tweet doesn't really mean anything. It's not like he said the coaches told him they were in the top two with Vaughn. They aren't dumb. It could well be something like "I talked to ISU coaches. They seem like good guys. They style they talked about seems to really fit RV. So I'm just going to tweet something to get some attention."

Did we ever confirm the injury? Either way RV seems like a standup kid and wish the best for him. Rehabbing an injury back home in Minn can't be a terrible thing though if it's a two person race between us and UNLV.

Nobody has said one bit of confirmation on the injury.

Nothing will come of the tweet except the revelation that kid made a dumb mistake. Have to know the rules.

Daily writers..nuff said. Didn't one of them "break" the news that Jake Knott was done for season even though he ended up playing against Baylor? I remember Keith Murphy calling him out on Sound Off telling him over the air to not break stories until you absolutely know its true

How could he have even talked to two coaches if we only had one there? Not to mention that Hoiberg had a mob around him at all times. I doubt he pulled the ISU daily reporter aside and gave him the scoop on RV.

Media day for basketball program, so everyone in basketball program was there. My guess "reporter" kid talked to 2 of his peers who are managers or grad assistants and he called them coaches.

I wondered if it was the same kid. I just posted in the last page of this thread about that. This kids journalism career is going to be short lived if he keeps stepping on the athletic department's toes.
