Josh Paunil spoke with Brewster Head Coach today getting an update on many of their 2014 members that Iowa State is interested in. A few tweets I just sent out:

#Cyclones, W Virginia, Stanford, Providence, Boston College & Wake Forest recently spoke w/ '14 Kevin Zabo per his coach via @JoshPaunilNRS.

2014 PF Chris McCullough may still cut his list down this year per @JoshPaunilNRS. Iowa State is not on list of recent schools w/ contact.

2014 Jared Terrell has recently spoke w/ #Cyclones, Providence, Boston College, Kansas St, SMU & Tennessee per his coach via @JoshPaunilNRS.

About what I thought. If we landed at least 2 of these 4 (Terrell, Zabo, Malik, Vaughn), I would be over the moon.

I read something last week where McCullough stated that he wanted to play in the ACC or the Big East. ISU is obviously neither.

I think Bubu would have to be off the team for that to happen, unless we over sign. Which I could see happen because I'm sure we will have at least one player transfer this year.

Haven't heard his name around lately, but Tanner Lancona committed to Washington State yesterday. I assume we moved on due to other commitments from Armandi and to a lesser extent, Hogue.

Doesn't he realize that all the PT at Washington State is going to straight to $$JRAILZ$$?

That's JBoNeCaPoNe'S program, he better understand that.

This 2014 class is very intriguing. I feel like we could end up with a top 10 class or a loss and not get any of these guys. Vaughn is probably our our most likely get out of these guys. He's visited multiple times and that's the best marketing tool to get someone to come here. It's not a sexy option for someone that hasn't been here before and seen the campus. All they think is corn and cold.

We have at least 2 scholarships available even with Bubu, don't we?

Yeah. If Bubu remains on scholarship and is on the team next year also we still have 1 more scholarship to fill for the 2013. If he isn't on the team we will have 2 to fill for the 2013 class.

If we fill all the 2013 scholarships we will then have Ejim and Amardi graduating after the 2013-14 season and will have 2 scholarships to fill for the 2014 class.

My guess though is that we only fill one more scholarship for the 2013 class and have a roll over scholarship for the 2014 class; giving us 3 or 4(depending on bubu situation) scholarships to fill for the 2014 class.

I honestly think that from here on out we will fill 12 scholarships per year and leave one open in case we want to sign a transfer.

Recruit Lists posted this yesterday.

ISURecruitLists #Cyclones head coach Fred Hoiberg watched Quakerdale Prep vs DMACC last night, presumably to watch 2013 Deontae Hawkins & others.

So this must mean that Edozie wasn't as close to a commitment as we thought, and that we are keeping our options open for our last PF prospect.

I'm wondering if these guys really all have offers or if the coaches are still evaluating. It's not like they're desperate for help in 2013.
