I'm not one to sit and complain about respect. Honestly we are in the polls about where we should be at this point. On the other hand nothing gets me more than inconstancy in how one entity is treated over another. With that said...

WHAT IS UP WITH OREGON STATE?!

I just saw that they are ranked #10 in this week's AP poll (for some reason I missed that on Sunday). What have they done to deserve this ranking?

Oregon State's opponents record so far: 13-11 overall and 2-9 in conference play.
On the other hand, ISU's opponents record is 19-6 overall 7-3 in conference play.

OSU's 2011 finish was 3-9 showing no promise of a top 10 team in the future (oh, two of the teams they beat so far this year they beat last year).

ISU 2011 finish was 6-7 going 3-3 on the final 6 games including defeating a top 5 team and losing by a touchdown to another top 10 team on the road.

OSU is a 5.5 underdog against a 4-2 BYU team this weekend
ISU is a 6.5 underdog against #6 5-0 KSU team this weekend

OSU is 4-0 and ranked #10
ISU is 4-1 and ranked Nothing.

Someone help me understand what people are seeing in OSU?

I think you'd be surprised what we'd be ranked if we were 5-0. not many undefeated teams left. That is a big part of it. Though I agree, they are over ranked.

They beat an incredible Big 10 powerhouse! (sarcasm) But frankly I think that is how the pollsters see it. They really don't have a really good win. If i got a vote I'd have them ranked, but not in the top 20.

win on saturday and the OP's post will be a moot point because we'll be ranked in the teens in every poll.

I could swear that at least one of the computers has Oregon State ranked #1.

+1. If we were 5-0 right now, it'd be much different. Can't really complain about OSU, they are undefeated and we are not.

Not only did we lose our chance, the O flushed it. BUT may have been the boost needed to focus us. Heres to beating the damned purple kitties.

And honestly, who gives a FLYING **** about where we are ranked? Keep winning, and the ranking will take care of itself. Quit ******* complaining about **** that doesn't even ******* matter. It's October, for ****'s sake.

In the polls it's all about getting there as fast as possible, then you can just start leapfrogging the teams that lose.

Actually, I am one who gives a flying whoop-de-doo. I honestly think it's an interesting observation. Don't see why you gotta be all Hulk about it.

Oregon State is undefeated and 4/5 wins are from AQ conferences. You would be surprised where ISU would be had it not lost to Tech.
