Giants Safety Tyler Sash has been suspended four games due to his use of Adderall. He says he used it for anxiety issues and didn't realize it was on the performance enhancing drug list.

I don't have a link currently but it's all over twitter.

How can you not know that is on the banned substance list? It is one of the most abused drugs in the country.

Well Sash should be suspended for stupidity, doesn't know how to Google Adderall.

Wiki:

In the National Football League, New Orleans Saints kicker Garrett Hartley served a four-game suspension when the 2009 NFL regular season began because he tested positive for the banned stimulant. The Arizona Cardinals tight end Ben Patrick received a four-game suspension as a result of using Adderall.[46]
The New York Giants running back Andre Brown (American football) is facing a four-game suspension for violating NFL's performance-enhancing substance ban. Brown said: “It was something that I've been on since I've been in the league, which was Adderall. I just forgot to fill out some paperwork and that was it.” [47]

He seems to be the kind of guy you want on your side but if he's not you don't like him.

Maybe it's just me but if I were to take anything other than advil I would check the banned substance list to see if it's on it.

You would think that between him, his agent, and his doctor somebody would have looked that up. Don't have much sympathy for him on this one.

My brother knows Sash well since my brother went to William Penn and Sash was always around...and from what I have heard this doesn't surprise me. From what I hear he abuses other pills.

Re read my post. I'm not trying to bash on him just saying what I hear from people that know him.
I went to school with him and he is does a lot for Oskaloosa. Sounds like he made a dumb mistake. Say what you will he is a good representative to Iowa. Posted on his facebook he would be working out at the community stadium anyone in 9th grade and up is welcome to come play football.

A quick story, I ran into him a couple months ago in Oskaloosa and caught up a little bit. I asked him about the benefit for a local child with cancer and his involvement. He informed me that one of his sponsors, someone that handles his signatures said he could not sign anything for the charity event. He said that if they were going to ban him from helping out kids with cancer that he didn't want anything to do with them, and that was the end of it. Cut it either way, he is a die hard hawk, but is also a wonderful ambassador to the state.

/my 2 cents.

Chalk this up to a dumb mistake. Really dumb.

Judging by talking to people who know him fairly well, he seems like a good guy. Except for the whole hok thing.

If you're an NFL player you check the banned substance list before you put anything in your body...plain and simple
