Pop and Prins have been fighting injuries. (Prins was her shoulder. Missed what Pop's was.) Both will play, though.

No lineup gymnastics needed this season to get both seniors in the lineup.

Keeping an eye on the women's game looks like 21-17 ISU at half.

Yep. ISU made a few buckets toward the end of the half, including a layup by HC with about 2 seconds left. I'd primarily be watching the women's game anyway, but living in the TV void of eastern Iowa I have no way to watch the men.

Some important stats:

Only 10 total fouls called in the half. Pop picked up her second about 10 minutes in. Dickey for KSU picked up her second with a few minutes left. She leads KSU with 11 points.

KSU has 10 turnovers, ISU 9.

Both teams shooting in the low 30s.

Ugly half. I'm happy we are up

Both teams are probably happy to be in this game with as poor as they are both shooting. We are definitely fortunate to be up. The last couple minutes of the half looked better. We're a little sloppy out there, but a lot of the missed shots were shots we wanted to take.

7 of ISU's 9 turnovers are KSU steals. Many of those were ill-advised passes combined with good defense. We are being too careless with the ball, especially against a team as good as KSU. KSU could say the same thing, although their poor passes are mainly just going out of bounds.

On the minus side, Pop did pick up her 3rd foul, but it hasn't slowed us down.

KSU is being forced into some wild shots.

Let's keep the fingers crossed that the ladies don't disappear like they did against OSU.
