I think this was a great effort against a tremendous team. We needed to play a perfect game and weren't able to do it. A lot of good things to build on. Great game by Anna. Keep working hard ladies.

Some really good effort on D tonight. Baylor was averaging 86 points a game coming into tonight. All of those missed bunnies tonight really hurt. Make those and the last few minutes could have been really interesting.

The shooting stats were close, percentage-wise (38% for them, 37% for us). Baylor killed up on the boards (39-27). But the game was won at the line. The final margin was 12 and they made 11 more free throws than we did (16-21 vs 5-9). Gawd-awful officiating didn't help in the least either, but this is the Big 12 and WBB refs are the worst here.

It was a good effort and the slow-them-down game plan worked well. We just had some nasty scoring droughts again that cost us dearly. After the OU game, I wasn't sure what the ladies were going to do, but they proved they have a LOT of fight left in them. On to the next game and hopefully the first league win...

Just got back from the game. Our ladies did not do a HORRIBLE job tonight. Our guards are just palin terrible. I will say that I truly hate Baylor though. After every single call they ***** at the refs. Sim was getting away with murder on Moody tonight. I guess they don't call handchecks any more.
Griner gets every single call when she just turns around puts her arms on top of the defender and shoots. One of the Baylor players takes and intentional swing at Cole and actually makes contact and just gets a T. She should have been ejected. So what does Mulkey do.... throw a fit about the call and leaves the palyer in the game... Classless.

Near the very end of the game Moody was dribbling around and ran off of a screen set by Pop. Sims takes a swing at Pops and hits her in the face... just a foul though. After Sims got a steal and a layup, Isu brings the ball down the court and calls a time out. Sims is right in front of BF she turns and screams. The officials caught it and talked to her after the time out and she just walked away from the blonde official because she didn't care at all. That whole team is just a bunch of thugs and classless individuals.

Look at the box, our guards had 5 of the 15 turnovers, meanwhile Hallie and Pop combined for seven. Our guards played a solid game - Chas gave us great energy on defense, Nikki played with a chip on her should in relation to getting beat on up the floor, and Lauren was steady and kept us in the game in the first half and was in double figures.

You are not going to win games when Pop and Hallie combine for 8 points. To say our guards are terrible is wrong, Pop and Hallie have to score for us to win.

Really have you watched any of these games? The guards pose 0 threat to score. They can not get the ball down low. They are doing a terrible job of running the team. Just looking at box scores will not tell you that. Moody and Brynn are going to be VERY good in couple of years, just not this year. CC brings nothing to the offense end of the floor.... the end where we need help. Loz has been off all year long on the offensive side of the ball as well.

Pop was guarded by Griner all night so she was not going to score anything down low. Hallie has been off all year long tonight was nothing new. Our posts are our stength and the guards are not bringing anything to the table right now.

Lauren was steady and kept us in the game in the first half and was in double figures.

Lauren had an all-around preformance per minutes played, scoring (10 points was second highest), rebounding (4 all defensive), 3-pointers (two), hustle and she really works defense and works to compensate for her size. I really like her heady play. I think she even had some assists. Call me a fan!

If we're going to talk about "classless," how about Mulkey leaving her starters in until the final buzzer, even with a 16 point lead. Oh, AND the fact that they full-court pressed us harder as the clock ticked down to zero.

Mulkey's girls could play for Bluder with all the whining they do after every whistle. Although, they wouldn't be any good then.

As much as I HATE Baylor I was surprised to see a fullcourt press on us with 12 freakin' seconds left in the damn game. At least Lauren beat the press for a layup.

And as for Sims, well she can just go blow an ALC for all I care. Really nice gal, not!

Been to every game at home and the Drake game. Our guards didn't lose the game tonight. Pop goes 1-7 from the field, Hallie 2-8. I watched Hallie miss multiple bunnies in the first half. Pop being guarded by Griner is an excuse. Pop has done nothing the last two games offensively. Pop and Hallie average 24 ppg, they had 8 tonight. If Hallie has been off all year, how is she the second leading scorer on the team?

Listen to the post game - Anna or Pop's role tonight was to pull Griner away from the basket to open the lane. Anna did her job converting, Pop and Hallie didn't. Take Lauren out of the equation, and we get blown out tonight. Take Chas out of the equation at OU, we really get blown out.

You don't win games when your top two scorers finish 16 points below their average.

This is unbelievable, I can't believe she did that. She must have been trying to win by 20. I think Mulkey is especially aware of her margin of victory and I remember in some of her games in the past when she's been ahead by 8 points in the closing seconds she'll have her team try to push the margin to double digits.

I wonder what kind of relationship Mulkey and BF have? She's always so complimentary of him and ISU's love of WBB during her press conferences. Did anyone see their pre-game handshake/banter? I seem to recall they had a warm relationship, but then maybe not.

BF's defensive plan to shut down Odyssey Sims was brilliant and our guards deserve a lot of credit for limiting her to 2 points. She's one of the best point guards in the country. Obviously the fact that BF coached her at the world university games last summer helped with the scouting report.

Her lack of points may have been part of the frustration that led her to taking potshots late. The girl should at least learn from this game she doe.s not hav.e to score for them to win. Sounds like they are a little too caught up in their #1 ranking. The only #1 anyone remembers is the one at the end of the dance.

Can you tell how our posts are getting their points if the GUARDS are not getting them the ball? This is a team game and right now we are not getting help from all 5 starters as far as scoring is concerned. But to say the only people doing anything are the posts show you have not been watching the whole game. We need everyone who gets into the game to give us 110% while they are in there, some nights different people will be the spark but we need ALL of them not just the post players.

Going to disagree with you here. Our guards - Brynn, Cole, Loz, and Moody are always a threat to score. There is no consistency to know when it will happen, but the threat is there. Baylor's game plan was to deny the three. Big C's scoring average has been dropping every game lately. Just plain struggling from the field. Good defender though. Moody, Loz and Brynn are scorers 3-5 on our team by average. Can it be better? Yes. But it is the overall team offense that is hurting...not just the guard court.
