The dude wins... it's really amazing to watch. Think about how guys rally around him and all believe the team can win because of his attitude... but then you look at guys like Romo or Cutler who are really good QBs but you can tell the whole team doesn't believe in their guy.

I love Tebow. I'd take a team full of him...

It tells me he must have been pretty ****** in the first 3 quarters to need to throw that much in the 4th. That's what it tells me. I'm not crowning Phillip Rivers because this might have been his worse year yet, but you don't have to throw much in the 4th when you are up 20.

No it doesn't, which only demonstrates your football ignorance.

By philosophy, Tebow focuses on the fundamentals through 3 quarters: primarily - move the sticks, don't turn the ball over. Even when he has an atrociously high (for him) turnover game (at what, one INT that didn't result in points and a fumble that cost them an opportunity?) that means that he keeps his team in the game.

Then, when it comes time to score, they do. Favre and Elway had to win at the end of games because Favre scored for the other team too often and Elway's offense wasn't gaudy. But, fundamentally, the Tebow approach is the same philosophy: it requires a special QB in the pocket.

Any "complete" QB outside of Tebow, Brady and Rodgers would sunk in Denver.

Completely.

Don't pretend otherwise. It wasn't like the Broncos didn't try to plug almost anyone into their plans before he got a crack.

But it is a completely silly and irrelevant "insight" to think that somehow Tebow is not "complete." As if his ability to hoist a division title is somehow hampered by his trophy-lifting "mechanics."

All I wanted this season was for the Broncos to give Tebow a chance. They have and look where it's gotten them. I believe that Tebow can develop and get a lot better in the passing game in the next few years if Elway wants to keep him. What is going on right now is one of the most improbable streak of wins and comebacks that you just have to sit back and be amazed. It's not that Tebow is making all these wins happen, it's that these wins are a whole team effort and Tebow just happens to be the QB and is doing his part. I don't expect the Broncos to get to the Super Bowl because you can't realistically win like this every week of the season. It's just impressive that they are likely headed to the playoffs for a team that hasn't been there for 5 years.

Uh, OK. Whatever you say.

Problem is he DOESN'T move the chains. Yeah he doesn't turn it over much, but lets look at just a few numbers. Against the Vikings he had about 25 yards passing and 1 first down in the entire first half (0 points, D had a pick 6). Against the Bears he was 3-16 for 45 yards and 0 points in the first 3 quarters. So you are telling me that is their "philosophy"? We don't need to score for 3 quarters cuz we will just clean it up in the 4th. Right. And you are calling me ignorant. That might be the dumbest thing I have ever read.

Then, when it comes time to score, they do. Favre and Elway had to win at the end of games because Favre scored for the other team too often and Elway's offense wasn't gaudy. But, fundamentally, the Tebow approach is the same philosophy: it requires a special QB in the pocket.

It requires a QB that can't do much throwing the ball and a good defense. He is a leader that plays well enough to win games. He has also got a few lucky breaks to go his way. Favre won Super Bowls. As much as I hate him, he was a much better QB than Tebow and will be until Tebow wins Super Bowls.

Any "complete" QB outside of Tebow, Brady and Rodgers would sunk in Denver.

Completely.

Don't pretend otherwise. It wasn't like the Broncos didn't try to plug almost anyone into their plans before he got a crack.

I can think of about 12 QBs I want before Tim Tebow. And maybe more if you don't have the tools and the OL to run the ball as effectively as the Broncos did in the first 3-4 games. Which is kind of astounding that Tebow can't complete anything in the first 3 quarters, because they are playing man coverage on his WRs and even with a few drops yesterday, he would have still had a bad completion percentage in the first 3 quarters. He misses open WRs all the time.

But it is a completely silly and irrelevant "insight" to think that somehow Tebow is not "complete." As if his ability to hoist a division title is somehow hampered by his trophy-lifting "mechanics."

Wow. Utterly amazing. He is winning, no doubt. But in the worst conference in football and has played maybe the worst schedule in football. But don't let your love for him blind you of that fact.

There is a reason that the Broncos focus on 'fundamentals' in the first three quarters. It is because Tebow can't throw very well. If you are denying this they it shows your football ignorance. It is also extremely funny that you put Brady, Rodgers and Tebow in the same category. You are blinded by the light shining from Tebow's ***.

Decker and Thomas certainly would. They don't have a TE, but those receivers are NOT that bad. They get behind guys and get open quite a bit. They have dropped a fair share of balls, but I wouldn't call Tebow exactly a marksman when it comes to making balls easy to catch. (Thomas was injured most of the year and is just now fully healthy and has looked good other than a few drops yesterday).

actually Fells was catching a lot of balls with Orton at the helm, but with Tebow they need the TE to block on 90% of the plays. Fells has caught about 5 balls since Tebow became starter. he was getting about 3-5 a week with Orton.

Yeah, he has to get those interception numbers way up so he can finally be a "complete" QB like Cam Newton, Phillip Rivers, Christian Ponder, or Matthew Stafford.

What part of "highest yardage 4th Quarter QB in the NFL" tells you that he's not complete?

Please. Give me a guy who hangs in the pocket, delivers hits, gobbles up yards in crunch time, doesn't put his defense or receivers in bad positions, and never quits. There are plenty of "complete QBs" who are helping their team to an early off-season and another bout of high draft picks.

And leave your magical fairy land of "complete" quarterbacks to Madden 2012 and the Green Bay Packers.

But if you don't like to call it "hating," that's fine. Call it what it is.

Football ignorance.

This is the stuff that people hate..not Tebow. I have no problem with Tebow..seems like a great guy. His fans are becoming more and more insufferable. You can't make observations about what you see when you watch him play..you're hating. On ESPN, they actually said he finds a way to make you screw up the way Barber did..and too many people actually believe this..its "magical fairy land" emotional garbage with no substance.

Reminds me of Dennis Green in 06. The Broncos were who we thought they were..and we let em off the hook. You want to crown their *****, crown their *****. That team was a great example of how far you can go without a good quarterback. And thats the point. The real story should be how much heart the rest of the team is showing to get wins even though Tebow is the QB. That may be in part because of his leadership skills, which is great..if he ever becomes a good QB, he could be very dangerous.

Its the dbags telling anyone that doesn't buy into him they're uneducated and a "hawkeye like" hater, that people are tired of. I watched the whole games. I didn't see a great QB, pull off an amazing miracle..I saw a great athlete in a position he's not great at, escape with a win at home against a mediocre at best bears team, with no offensive leaders.

People are setting him up for a big letdown. I think he has a good head on his shoulders, so I think he'll be able to handle it better than most..but he doesn't deserve the amount of pressure/credit people are putting on him. People aren't doing him any favors. He'd be much better off long term to go somewhere and be a backup for a few years under a solid veteran, and work on his mechanics..thats his best chance I think.

This. As a Bears fan I can definitely see your point. Their D kept them in most games and allowed them to win quite a few...until they ran in to a really good team the lack of offensive firepower caught up to them.

Preposterous, and provably so. Where was this magical fairy dust "heart" you speak of prior to the Tebow regime?

The players credit Tebow.

Remind me again where I find the "mechanics" stat in football? Is that something they developed for Maden 2012?

Man, I love to watch the rationalization hamster wheels spinning on this one.

Too bad they have nothing to do with football. Sure, I wouldn't pick him for my fantasy team, and certainly not for a video game. But for anyone who comprehends football, the only reason why people are crying for Denver to bench Tebow now is because they don't want to go against a team he leads.

He can "work on mechanics" in the off-season. I think he's far more interested in leading this team into the playoffs. I hope they make it just so I can enjoy a few more weeks of his "oh we aren't haters" haters suffer fits of apoplexy.

I'm not saying he should be benched. Just that tebow-lovers and the media need to take a reality check. The kicker won that game yesterday with two booming kicks.

When do we ever say he should be benched? I don't hear anyone say that. Don't make **** up.

I really hope he makes the playoffs as I have a small financial stake if he does. I hope he turns out to be a great QB and leads Denver to multiple playoffs. Again, it would help my pocketbook. But he is nowhere near that right now and needing 2 HUGE breaks at home to beat a damaged Bears team does not tell me he is the God you think he is. He's no God, but he certainly had one staring down upon him Sunday afternoon around 4:45.

Are you honestly comparing that Bears defense to this year's very mediocre Denver defense?

Interesting.

Good catch. You've excellently proven why I shouldn't speculate outside my areas of expertise. I only have a good grasp of original team football, and shouldn't have made the comparison to an activity I don't follow.

But the point is good. If even the fantasy numbers are good, why on earth is the fact that an exciting quarterback leading a team from 1-4 hell to division leadership, in any way, controversial.

Surely it can't be the hate. The haters already said they aren't hating, and you know haters never lie.

Wow you just told me everything I needed to know about your football knowledge.

Oh, so, this Denver defense is stellar? Then you have done the same for me.

Denver's defense is 24th in the NFL in yards allowed per game (366.4), 24th in points (24.3), 23rd in passing yards (245.2) and 20th in rushing yards (121.3).

Explain to me, outside of the intangibles of leadership, how they are above average. Furthermore, explain to me how they are, in any way comparable to the 2006 Chicago Bears.

I love how everyone says the wins have nothing to do with Tebow. It's the defense or it's the kicker. Pretty sure it was the same defense playing before Tebow started. Using common sense is very easy, it's the admitting that you're wrong that's the hard part.
