1972 at Clyde Williams; sat in the north end zone. We were expected to lose, but beat Missouri 17 - 7.

Don't remember too much about the game, but it was packed and I enjoyed myself.

Went to all home games as a student and have made all home games with CPR

mine has to be from the sometime in the early 90's. I cannot remember the date or who they were playing mainly because I was roughly 4-6 years old but it was around the years of Troy Davis, and my dad always took me for the 4th quarter because we could not afford the tickets for us. They would open up the gates usually mid way through the 3rd quarter. We would always go to the rest of the game whether it was the Cyclones losing or winning. I always remember my dad saying to me well we only need 4 more wins to be bowl eligible early in the season and maybe getting only 2 the rest of the season..

September 14, 1985 against Utah St. We won 10-3. Freshman year with the band. Don't remember anything about it however. Looking at the box score, I can see why.

98 or 99 against Kansas state. isu was up 28 to 7 at the half and then lost

I only got to listen to that one on the radio. God that game was disheartening.

The first game I attended was the year I spent as a walk-on, September 7, 1991 against Eastern Illinois. We won 42-13.

Sept 26 1996, the game where TD had 376 yards. I knew nothing about ISU Football at the time other than that I liked them because ISU was the farm school. I was 12 at the time and we got free tickets from pioneer, front row behind Mizzou bench. My mom went and bought me a ISU shirt from JC Penny w/ the new logo on it and I was freaking the coolest kid in school that day lol. I took several pics that I still have and I remember my bro telling me that DeMontie Cross from mizzou was gonna be a big NFL star so several were of him on the sideline, funny side note is he became a coach at ISU after his career was over.

Anyway, it was seriously amazing watching him run that day w/ his huge pads and cutoff jersey and thats when I became obcessed w/ ISU Sports. Ive been lucky enough to be at every home game since 2001 and have witnessed pretty much every big game/play in ISU history since then.

Im still ****** that TD didnt win the heisman, had he played for a name school they would have gave it to him in a landslide.

Also a few days after that my mom bought me a TD Jersey and I still have it and my nephews wear it to the games win they go.

1983...don't really remember the specific game. I was transformed from being a Hayden Fry Hawk fan. Cannot understate the value of getting kids to the games to build a fan base.

2005 Illinois State. A typical DMac game where we played down to the opponent and were not aggressive.

I can still remember walking to the stadium and hearing people sing "Don't know the words! Don't know the words! Don't know the words to this stupid ******* song!" And being super confused by it.

Its to bad they don't play that anymore. It was a nice tradition.

If they would sing the correct lyrics then maybe it would still be played.

It's "Don't know the words, Don't know the words, Don't know the words and I don't care"

Mine was Baylor '01. My parents and I randomly got tickets from someone and decided to go. I remember lots of kickoffs hitting the windows of the Jacobsen building.

I went to my first ISU game in 1990 to see ISU vs UNI as a Hawk fan rooting for UNI. My Cousin and 2 of my wife's cousins played for UNI, ISU won that day. By 1992 I had become a Cyclone fan so it took several years for me to be on the winning side in that game as UNI beat us in 92 and 94 and we didn't play them in 93.

Peach Bowl. Growing up in Atlanta the only Iowa State information I could find was a score in the back of the sports pages. ISU was in the Atlanta papers every day for a couple of weeks, I had a wall in my bedroom covered in articles. After the game the front page of the paper was a huge picture of an ISU player grabbing the facemask of an NC State player.

Oklahoma in 1980 and we left with about 2 minutes to go. That was the only time I have ever left Jack Trice or Hilton before a game was over.

I would have been young. 4-5, maybe younger in the early 80's. My parents had season tickets and would drag me along.

I took my 2 year old to some games last year when the weather was nice and to a few this year. He wont remember those.
