Good news on a Saturday afternoon... Emiah Bingley committed to Iowa State today. Bingley - a combo guard from Lee's Summit, Missouri - is considered one of the top guard prospects in the Midwest and is rated No. 57 overall by the All-Star Girls Report.

unless this year's recruit fills the bill Emiah will be the fastest and quickest kid that has donned an ISU uni. At times was a 1 man force this past year. Great range and if she wants to get to the hoop she will. Some good hoops down here this past year with her team and Brynn's Staley high team

We are so pleased to hear Emiah will be playing for the Cyclones. She will really like the support Cyclone fan's show their WBB team. As far as cyclone gear in Kansas City, afraid I can't help you. Does Emiah know Luke Knott ? Luke is a verbal commit for our football team. Maybe he can help....

You might try the College Book Store on Quivira right across from Johnson County Community College...they have some ISU stuff but their selection is pretty limited...otherwise the good old interwebs is the place to shop...

There are also some other college stores that I can't remember the name of...there's one in the strip mall at 95th and Antioch...

Not sure about anything on the MO side...

Welcome aboard! You won't regret this decision. Fennelly has a reputation for coaching up point guards and has had some dandies in the past, including four or five who got drafted. In case you haven't experienced it, Ames is absolutely nuts for its women's basketball and routinely has the highest attendance in the Big XII and is among the highest in the country. I think we finished third or fourth in the country in attendance last year.

As for the Cyclone gear, I get most of mine online. There are several places, including the Cyclone store at cyclones.com, the official ISU athletics website.

We did experience it, as well as experiencing how the fans takeover KC every year also. What was most impressive to us was how many people showed up for the boys game earlier in the day, and then came back for the girls games. We wanted as a family to be full supporters and ISU gives us that chance with it only being down the hwy..

Big time recruit for ISU. This young lady also looks like the type of player and person that will fit right in at Iowa State.

Some of the really good recruits that we had transfer out wanted to be big fish in small ponds. I get the idea that Bingley is more of a team player who could quickly become a team leader and a big fish in a big pond.

WARNING to the Bingley family: ISU will make her go to class and work towards a degree. The women's BB program at ISU is not a joke and they will expect her to fulfill reasonable academic achievement while 10K of us cheer her on the court. That said - she'll have academic help if she needs it and top notch facilities to develop her athletics as well.

The Ames environment is one of the best for Emiah. It is diverse. It is wise. It's not [insert Southern state name].

Fennelly and staff are for real - the kind of coaches you can trust. Fennelly has never cut corners - maybe at his own expense. It's the old cliche' that he does stuff the right way.

This is a really good day - not just for the Bingley Family, but also for ISU.

good to have you and your daughter! IF you noticed any guys (mostly 2 of us) wearing Cyclone gear at some of your daughters games last year (including the district game at HIckman Mills) that was us showing you all the Cyclone love that you all will receive at every home game in Hilton!

@KneeGusto, no need to warn, our goal is for Emiah to get her degree, AND help Iowa State win a National Championship, She won an AAU National Championship, so she's got a lil experience at that lol.. At Arson, thanks for all the support again. We are headed out in a few to see if we can snag some gear. We are totally excited first because coach Fennelly thought enough of Emiah to recruit, and secondly because of the great fans, and support that you have there. If she's getting this much support now, I can only imagine when she scores her first 2 pts!! Looking forward to coming down, and watching some games this year, and following this years team, while hearing Emiah scream at the t.v. and go crazy about wishing she was there to help when we watch the team play on television this yr. All of you guys have been great, and I can promise you all this. She will give her absolute best for 4yrs....
